Exilesland Is A New Adventure RPG On Android Where Hero Wars Meets Don’t Starve

Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes is set to introduce a bunch of new characters to the long-running franchise, from Owen Teague's primate protagonist Noa to Freya Allan's human Mae. It'll also welcome a new villain, too: Kevin Durand's Proximus Caesar. 

Home, Planet & Hunters is the latest RPG from Black Pearl Games, the developers who brought us the gritty street action in Brutal Street 1 & 2. With the new game, they’re taking us through the ruins of a world called ‘The Ring’ where you’ll gather a crew of hunters to defend your home.

Why not catch some magical music notes while you’re out and about? Well, if gaming and music are the two loves of your life, then Melody World is perfect for you. Indie game developer Daniel Santer has just rolled out the game exclusively on Android, and it’s all about melody.

Noodlecake and Big Green Pillow Studio just dropped Slash Quest on Android, an adventure puzzler that’s as adorable as it gets. Originally available only on Apple Arcade, it’s now available for all Android users. It’ll be relaunched on iOS in a few weeks (shedding its Apple Arcade exclusivity). Apparently, a Steam version is on the way too.

Last year, a group of BioWare veterans unveiled Exodus, a new space RPG made by former developers from Halo, The Last of Us, and, of course, those classic BioWare RPGs. While hopping around the galaxy in BioWare is a pretty speedy affair, though, Exodus takes a substantially more scientifically accurate approach.

Originally released for the PSP all the way back in 2008 and 2009 respectively, Class of Heroes and Class of Heroes 2 are returning to PlayStation over a decade later. These fairly hardcore, grind-heavy dungeon crawlers were met with hit and miss reviews back in the day, but they did manage to establish a following amongst players who enjoyed their party-building and character progression systems.

Following a bit of a tease last week, Yellow Brick Games — the studio founded by former Dragon Age creative director Mike Laidlaw — has properly revealed its new third-person action adventure, Eternal Strands, which is coming to PC and consoles next year.

No Rest for the Wicked, the Diablo-esque action RPG in the works at Ori and the Blind Forest and Ori and the Will of the Wisps studio Moon, won't be $70. CEO Thomas Mahler says the game's price point is down to the nature of the team, their shared stance on the rising price of games, and the notable lack of shareholders pawing at the company's books. 

Dredge, the sinister fishing game from Black Salt Games and publisher Team 17, has donated $100,000 New Zealand dollars to the New Zealand Whale and Dolphin Trust as it celebrates its first anniversary and teases that there's more to come for the wonderful indie horror game.

Doctor Strange and his latest team of Secret Defenders (or should we call them "party" of Secret Defenders) are currently trapped in a magical, Jumanji-esque RPG manual that has manifested its fantasy land in New York City, all under the control of Strange's archenemy Baron Mordo.
