I haven’t been keeping up with player reaction to the latest Twar and Twarhammer games, but it seems players are none too pleased with Creative Assembly right now. In a rather dramatic open letter, the company's vice president Roger Collum has acknowledged that Total War: Warhammer 3’s Shadows of Change add-on and the recent historical strategy outing Total War: Pharaoh did not ship in a desirable state, with complaints ranging from wobbly execution to overpricing. The studio will try to make things right by offering partial refunds to Pharaoh owners and giving away DLC on top of the usual updates.
Everwild – Rare Hiring for Engine Programmer, Video Producer and More

It’s crazy to think that Everwild, Rare’s next game, was announced in 2019, especially since development has been ongoing since 2014. While there haven’t been any new announcements or details, the company is still hiring for the project.
On its Careers page, three listings are available for Engine Programmer, Video Producer and Video and Motion Graphics Artist. While the positions are for both Sea of Thieves and Everwild, it’s interesting to note the latter two positions. They’ll be part of an “in-studio video team” to produce “quality video content to support our online platforms and promote the latest games from Rare.”
That includes working with Marketing and Community teams to create “ongoing video content for Sea of Thieves as well as Rare’s next title, Everwild.” It does imply the studio is gearing up to showcase more of the game regularly, if not reveal a new trailer.
Everwild doesn’t have a release date and was rumored to feature a “large scale multiplayer world” based on a gameplay engineer Jordan Bell’s LinkedIn profile from March 2022. However, VGC’s Andy Robinson reports that it’s more like Viva Pinata rather than a survival game like earlier reveals teased. As always, stay tuned for more details.

Cyberpunk 2077 Is Getting A Fully Functional Metro And More With A 2.1 Update
Turns out CD Projekt has even more plans for Cyberpunk beyond its 2.0 update and Phantom Liberty earlier this year. During a stream detailing the update with developers Paweł Sasko and Monika Janowska, the team at CD Projekt revealed Cyberpunk will be getting a 2.1 update soon that will add a fully functional metro, radioport, replayable car races, boss fight improvements, accessibility features, and more. The updated will be available December 5 (the same day Rockstar is launching the trailer for the next Grand Theft Auto), which will also mark the release of Cyberpunk 2077's Ultimate Edition.
