According to Everspace 2 developer Rockfish Games, Xbox Game Pass has been really beneficial in the development of the game.

Microsoft has revealed the titles they’ll be adding to Xbox Game Pass on PC and consoles in late August, and they’re serving up a solid array of Day 1 releases. Subscribers can look forward to the latest asymmetric multiplayer game The Texas Chain Saw Massacre, open-world space shooter Everspace 2, throwback RPG Sea of Stars, and more.

Everspace 2 launched in full for PC earlier this year after spending over two years in early access, and now, Rockfish Games’ open world spaceflight action RPG is available on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S as well. Check out the launch trailer below for a glimpse of what it will have in store.

Microsoft has announced new titles coming to Xbox Game Pass throughout August, which includes EVERSPACE 2, Firewatch, The Texas Chain Saw Massacre, and Sea of Stars.

Rockfish Games’ Everspace 2 is finally available for PS5 and Xbox Series X/S. However, it was also released for PC (and PC Game Pass) several months before becoming playable for console subscribers as well. The space combat title was in early access for years, adding new content and systems over time, including new story sections which weren’t originally planned.

In Everspace 2, take to the stars through a sprawling sci-fi adventure story that spans multiple star systems. In the role of Adam, a former military clone pilot trying to find his place in a dangerous universe, you’ll be able to explore more than 100 handcrafted locations while piloting one of nine different ship types/classes. The universe is a colorful delight, filled with Outlaw bases, spacefaring alien life, ancient structures, ruined starbases, and many exciting secrets to discover. 

Microsoft-owned Xbox offers gaming subscription services that players can take advantage of. It allows players to play online multiplayer with their friends as well as people around the world, Moreover, the gaming subscription service, called Xbox Game Pass features a vast library of games that players can play without having to purchase each one separately, along with day one access to new games. Xbox's most popular subscription is Xbox Game Pass Ultimate which offers a catalog of more than 400 Xbox One, Xbox 360, and original Xbox games as well as access to day-one releases.

Another month in the books! This means it’s time we get a look at the first titles coming to Xbox Game Pass in August. As per usual, this includes the additions coming in the first half of the month. Typically more titles are added in the middle of the month as well. Also, even though it was technically highlighted in the July update, Celeste is part of the Game Pass as of today… which is August 1. So that’s part of August as well.

Microsoft has unveiled its first wave of titles coming to Game Pass in August, starting with Celeste. The 2D platformer is out today for cloud, consoles and PC and sees Madeline scaling Celeste Mountain while dealing with inner turmoil.
