With a Plunderstorm tournament this weekend, players have identified some significant end-game issues — Infinite Resurrections in Storm and the Storm never fully closes.
A hotfix went live yesterday that decreased the time it takes to Resurrect a Duo partner to 10 seconds (was 15 seconds) and decreasing the cooldown of the heal after resurrecting. However, this has had some unintended side effects as players are now able to infinitely resurrect in the Storm if set up correctly.
Unlike other Battle Royales, the Storm Winds damage doesn't increase in this game as time goes on, it always deals 12% health every 3 seconds. As such, a team can hide in the Storm all game and lead to a stalemate.
In addition to the above, players have noticed that the Storm doesn't fully close unlike other Battle Royales. This was likely done as it's assumed that players will duke it out in the final circle and kill each other. However, this is not the case if the circle closes with buildings or elevation. There are Lightning Strike swirlies that increase in frequency, but these don't seem to hit on top of buildings and can lead to another stalemate.
