The quest "" is far more complicated than it seems on the surface. It begins when the Arisen encounters a girl named Trysha in an isolated cabin, standing alone on a hill northwest of Melve. Trysha lives with her grandmother, Eini, who spends most of her day providing for the two of them. This leaves Trysha alone and bored out of her mind. To kill time, Trysha's recently decided to study magic. If they speak with her while grandma's out, Trysha asks the Arisen to find the grimoires she'll need to learn her first few spells.
But Eini doesn't want her granddaughter learning magic: she's far too young. If the Arisen talks to her, she'll strongly caution them against helping Trysha. Of course, the player is free to do as they choose — but as with most quests in , there's a consequence for every decision. Depending on the player's choices, "" may even be further complicated, as several other characters may become involved later in the game. With a little planning and a lot of gold, though, players can plan ahead and ensure the best outcome for Trysha, Eini, and the Arisen all.
Trysha's wishlist includes five grimoires, located in various places all throughout 's map. Some grimoires exist in multiple copies, but others are unique. This quest takes players to many different areas, some of which they may not have discovered by the time they first meet Trysha. Players can find the grimoires in each of the following locations:
Grimoire Name
Location(s)
Fulminous Shield
Can be purchased from the merchant Dudley at the entrance to Melve for 5,000 G
Towering Earth
Given by Waldhar in the Vernworth Dungeon
Let There Be Light
Stolen from Myrddin's house in Checkpoint Rest Town; use the balcony to get inside unseen
Howling Blizzard
Inside a chest in the Waterfall Cave, or traded for a copy of Fulminous Shield with Wendy in the Nameless Village
Nation's Death Knell
Inside a chest in the Waterfall Cave, or in the Cenotaph
Trysha will accept partial delivery, so three grimoires are enough to complete this quest with the full rewards.
Once they find the grimoires, players can bring them back to Trysha. They'll receive a Turquoise Ring, and their quest objective will instruct them to pass some time. A day later, Trysha will go on a rampage, wildly casting spells and destroying everything in her path. The Arisen will need to stop her, but killing Trysha will end the quest immediately. Instead, they should approach her and press the "" button (the right trigger on a controller, or E on a keyboard), to subdue her. Eini will be grateful, and ask the Arisen to return the next day.
If Trysha does die during this scene, she can be resurrected with a Wakestone.

Almost 200 new gigs have been added to , with the intent of helping players find some of the game's biggest secrets. While playing CD Projekt Red's sci-fi RPG, there are several easy-to-find side activities, such as gigs, which are marked on the map or activated via calls on the Holocom for players to get involved in. Despite this, the world of Night City is so rich and layered that there are bound to be elements that players don't discover upon their initial playthrough, regardless of how many hundreds of hours players may find themselves sinking into the game.
Off The Pilfered Path is one of the more complicated quests in Dragon’s Dogma 2. Like most quests, the game really doesn’t explain what you need to do — and you can fail this quest spectacularly if you’re not playing carefully. This quest is only unlocked after completing a different quest to clear out the Coral Snakes Camp on the road to Bakbattahl. In that quest, you’ll meet the character Hugo who’s captured at the end and locked in jail. While exploring Bakbattahl, you’ll be contacted to try and locate the hidden location of the Coral Snakes boss — and the rest of the quest gets complicated. Getting Hugo to talk is a real challenge that requires patience. Here’s what you need to do. And even if you do something wrong, it is possible to complete this quest anyway.
AFK Journey by Lilith Games and published by Farlight Games released on March 27th, 2024 and since that time millions of players have hopped in between the PC and mobile version to get in on the ground floor of the next big gacha hero collector. Previously, I touched on some early impressions from my time between PAX East and my experience with the early post-launch game. Now as I reach the end of the journey so far, it’s time to look back with a candid take on whether my time spent was worth it, and whether it will be worth it for you in the future.
Getting around in Dragon’s Dogma 2 is perilous at the best of times. Hordes of goblins and lizard-like saurians dog the player’s steps at every turn, and then there’s the deadly cast of enormous mythological creatures that want nothing more than to grab the player character — known as the Arisen — and bring their noble quest to an unceremonious end.
One of the earliest choices to make in involves whether to skip the Nibelheim flashback that makes up the majority of the game's first chapter. The Nibelheim chapter was part of the game's playable demo, alongside a longer section that allowed players to openly explore the Junon region of . But where the Junon half of the demo is separate, and taken out of context, the Nibelheim half effectively grants players early access to the opening hours of the game.
Strawberries can be a valuable crop to grow in , but the way they function does raise questions about when it is best to plant their seeds. While ’s 1.6 update does add new crops to the game, pre-existing ones still have an important place on any farm, particularly if the player chooses the Tiller profession. With that in mind, as always in the farming simulator, careful planning is key for those who want to maximize their profits.
One veteran Bethesda designer really, really likes Dragon's Dogma 2 - in fact, he says that it's the only way that he can get the same feeling his RPGs give to everyone else.
Throughout 's campaign, players will have to make several choices, which can have major repercussions for their character and the fate of Japan in the game. These can be through general dialogue options — of which more are unlocked if players acquire the correct skills — along with choosing to work with certain characters, or simply through a prompt to pick between two set actions.
Goodbye, App Store Suika Game clones. The real thing has finally arrived on iOS for players outside of Japan. Suika Game, the watermelon puzzle game that went viral on Nintendo Switch last year, is available to download for $2.99 on Apple’s App Store, making it playable on iPhone and iPad. The title for the official version is “Suika Game-Aladdin X” and it comes from XGIMI Limited.
There are more secret items and mechanics in Dragon’s Dogma 2 than almost any other game. You can accidentally lose an entire town to the Dragonsplague or miss out on the true ending if you’re not paying close enough attention. That’s not to mention all the secret items and weapons in the world. One incredibly powerful but risky item is known as the Unmaking Arrow. This is the most powerful weapon in the game, but it comes with a very interesting caveat. Plus, there are only two known ways to get them, meaning you need to pick your targets very carefully. If you think you can handle the power of this arrow and the responsibility it brings, here is where you can find it.
