Diablo IV Lands on Game Pass on March 28

Blizzard has released a new Diablo IV update, version 1.3.3, on all platforms. This patch introduces major new content and features, such as the long-anticipated Gauntlet endgame dungeon that was detailed in the latest Campfire Chat live stream.

The first games coming to during March 2024 have been announced, and there are a few surprises to go with the expected day-one games. We already knew about the impending release of MLB The Show 24 and Lightyear Frontier, but there are a couple of older faces and others to keep the kids occupied.

Xbox Game Pass has revealed four more titles that will be added to its library in March 2024. All of the newly confirmed arrivals, which include some highly acclaimed games such as Control, will reach Xbox Game Pass over the following two weeks.

Xbox Game Pass subscribers are treated to new games every month, but they also lose a handful of games every month as well. Minus some rare exceptions, Xbox Game Pass games are removed on the 15th and last day of every month.

During yesterday's Campfire Chat, Blizzard announced the release date of the next major Diablo IV patch. On March 5, players will be able to access the previously delayed Gauntlet endgame dungeon.

Today, NVIDIA announced that its GeForce NOW cloud gaming platform has been upgraded to support Battle.net PC games like Call of Duty, Diablo IV, Overwatch 2, and Hearthstone.

A new IP from a new studio, the game didn't fare well at launch, sandwiched as it was between behemoths like Diablo IV, Baldur's Gate 3, Starfield, Armored Core 6, et cetera. This led to Ascendant Studios having to lay off around 45% of its employees just a few weeks after the debut of Immortals of Aveum.

NVIDIA is announcing today via newsletter that the free GeForce NOW tier will begin showing up to two minutes of 'video sponsorship messages' (ads, basically) before each free gaming session (which only lasts up to an hour) while in the queue. NVIDIA says the change will go live starting next Tuesday, March 5, and it reckons it'll eventually improve average wait times for GeForce NOW free users.

Now that the dust has mostly settled on Microsoft’s acquisition of Activision Blizzard, the question remains over when those games will start to trickle onto Xbox Game Pass. Xbox head Phil Spencer seems to still want Call of Duty and other big titles on the pass, but it remains to be seen when it could happen.
