Diablo 4 Producer Says it’s a “Lot More Fun to Play” in Season of Blood

Following a free weekend on Xbox, Diablo 4 is free to download and play on PC from today through October 30th. Meanwhile, the Diablo Immortal team has issued a warning to cheaters.

Season 2 of introduces new bosses to fight across Sanctuary, including a frozen foe named The Beast in the Ice that you'll have to summon by unlocking a Nightmare Dungeon. Only a specific item your character can craft is able to open the path toward this dangerous boss. Only those who have progressed to a high enough level and World Tier will be able to challenge The Beast in Ice for Unique gear rewards.

Two unreleased zones for Diablo 4 were spotted in the localization strings of the Steam version. These can be found on SteamDB, a website that utilizes the Steam API to provide a plethora of information. It is not the first time these zones have shown up in Diablo 4's game files. The localization strings above, where these zone names were found, are used to show people's location in Sanctuary in the Battle.net friend list among other things. At the moment we can only speculate if these zones were cut early on in the development of Diablo 4 or if they are part of the game's first expansion. Season 2 of is the Season of Blood, which features exciting Blood Harvest events that feature new items called Seeker Keys. Blood Harvests are like Helltides but with vampires instead of demons. When you travel to the green-tinted areas that mark a Blood Harvest, your job is to collect Blood Lures and Seeker Keys to get exciting rewards.

For all completionists out there, after discovering all areas and playing all side missions in Diablo 4, we were all greeted by rewards thanks to our collected Renown across Sanctuary. Thankfully, our new Seasonal characters won’t have to suffer the same fate of walking across the world searching for souls to help, diabolical enemies to fight, chests to open, and dangerous areas to discover. Diablo IV has been heavy on our noggins recently with news of its new season’s content. As a vampire stan myself, I look forward to employing the Season of Blood’s vampiric powers. While Blizzard set the second season to drop today, it has just announced that the studio has come across some issues that need resolving, resulting in a delay. We’ll have to hold out just a little bit longer before experiencing the blood-sucking features.

Diablo IV’s Season of Blood starts on October 17th, and Blizzard has released gameplay footage before the new season begins. The trailer shows some of the new enemies players will face off against, as well as abilities that will be accessible in the new season. It has quite a bit of blood and gore, which should be expected with a name like Season of Blood.

Diablo IV has been out for a while now, and if you’re enjoying the game, chances are you’re waiting for the second season to drop. Fortunately, the wait is coming to an end as the upcoming season, Season of Blood, will be available for players tomorrow. This will give you a new questline among other in-game content unique for the latest content drop. Fortunately, a new trailer has also been released, giving players a look at some of the gameplay experience you can expect starting tomorrow.

Diablo 4 will be Steam Deck verified as soon as it leaves Battle.net exclusivity and hits Valve's PC platform at the start of Season 2.
