The voice actor behind Adam Jensen in Deus Ex: Human Revolution and Deus Ex: Mankind Divided claims Eidos asked him to stop talking about the character publicly several years ago.
While some fans have long hoped for a third entry in Jensen’s story, the prospect of that happening has perhaps never seemed more remote.
“Alas, his story seems done,” Toufexis said in a Reddit post last week in which he bid “goodbye, but hopefully not farewell” to the character.
Referencing a recent report which claimed Eidos Montreal had cancelled an unannounced Deus Ex game that had been in development for two years, Toufexis also said he was “relatively certain” it “was not an Adam Jensen story”.
And in a follow-up interview with PCGamesN, the actor claimed he hadn’t heard anything official regarding the future of the character for over seven years.
“Everything I heard past 2016 was unofficial, from friends or acquaintances,” he said. “Even when they [Eidos Montreal] went off and did Guardians of the Galaxy and shelved any sequel, I had to hear about it second hand.
“They didn’t even throw an audition my way. They don’t tell me s***. Everything I’ve heard is from friends off the record, and it ain’t much.
“I remember I heard from Eidos in 2020 when they called me to ask me to stop talking about Adam Jensen in interviews and podcasts because they wanted people to focus on other things from the studio, which really shows how popular Jensen is, or was anyway.”
Last month, Eidos Montreal confirmed plans to lay off almost 100 employees. The studio is one of the latest casualties of a wider restructuring plan that saw its parent company Embracer Group cut almost 1,400 jobs during the six months ended in December.

is a great mix of gaming conventions and new ideas alike, but there's one break from industry standards in the game that has particularly unique implications. Although many aspects of player freedom that offers feel fresh, they mostly stem from the tradition of classic computer RPGs like the two previous entries in the series, with an extra dose of modern physics-based possibilities. After years of mainstream RPGs that lack a deeper level of freedom, however, examining what does differently can bring some interesting choices to light.
Andrew Haigh’s dark love story All of Us Strangers arrived to Hulu on Feb. 22, after two quiet months of building up word of mouth in theaters. Debuting just before Christmas and competing with a lot of more bombastic releases, it initially reached a small audience — but it was evident that it made an impression, as critics and viewers spun out lengthy online analyses and discussions of its memorable, divisive ending.

After several decades of transformative tech wealth, the AI boom is ushering in another. Not only has Nvidia Corp.'s soaring valuation made co-founder Jensen Huang an extremely wealthy man, but his distant cousin Lisa Su, head of Advanced Micro Devices Inc., is now worth $1.2 billion. A glance at the top 10 richest people in the world shows tech leaders, from Elon Musk to Bill Gates, are still on top.
Madame Web’s poor initial performance at the box office suggests that few people want to see it in a theater, let alone talk about it sight unseen. But there’s one aspect of it we should talk about anyway, because it’s so wild. Madame Web is a rarity in modern superhero cinema: a movie your friends might think you were making up if you described it to them without embellishment. Ironically, this makes it entirely faithful to the era of comic books it’s adapting. Not only does the comic book version of protagonist Cassandra Webb have a suite of powers and stories behind her that’s so confounding, I cannot fathom how anyone thought they’d make for a coherent movie, it also features a trio of other Spider-Women with origins that beggar belief.
