Destiny 2 Developer Abusers Get Perma-Banned by Bungie

Bungie executive creative director Luke Smith has teased plans for the Destiny franchise beyond Destiny 2.

New 2.2 leaks are hinting at a boss-melting skill from a rather unexpected source: the new support Trailblazer. The turn-based RPG is currently in the early stages of its second phase, but a lot of the content planned for the upcoming patch has already been leaked. Most of them revolve around the abilities and gameplay mechanics of the new and confirmed characters, Robin and Boothill, though there have been plenty of mentions about the new Trailblazer form in leaks. According to the rumors, the new Trailblazer form will be an Imaginary Harmony unit.

Yesterday, Bungie shared a lot of information on the upcoming Destiny 2: The Final Shape expansion. Previously slated to launch in February, it was delayed to June 4 to 'deliver a bigger and bolder vision'.

Destiny 2: The Final Shape just got a massive update to its back-of-box features list: a new “subclass,” a new kind of Exotic, and a new enemy faction. Bungie revealed the additions in a livestream on Tuesday, which acted as a reintroduction to the upcoming expansion after it was delayed from February to June earlier this year.

Few weapons strike fear into the hearts of Destiny 2 players like the all-timer ensemble of Recluse, The Mountaintop, and Luna's Howl, which defined an entire (miserable) era of the game's history. So the news that these three guns, alongside several other nostalgic favorites, are returning as part of the upcoming Into the Light update was met with a mix of excitement and trepidation. Are we going back to those dark days? No, hopefully. Bungie says these weapons are indeed returning, but not completely game-breaking anymore.  

Destiny 2’s upcoming free update, Into the Light, is truly looking to be a greatest hits collection for the MMO ahead of The Final Shape expansion this June. The variety of beloved and returning weapons revealed on March 26 made that obvious, but it seems Bungie is really pulling out all the stops with some upcoming mission reprisals. During a livestream on Tuesday, Bungie revealed the return of The Whisper and Zero Hour missions toDestiny 2.

With the positive feedback surrounding Destiny 2: Into the Light ahead of its arrival on April 9th, it seemed a given that Bungie would screw something up. Sure enough, when revealing the BRAVE weapons available with Onslaught, it announced that six would be available at launch. The remainder would unlock each week till May 21st.
