After the disastrous response to Season 1's balance update, Blizzard is making it clear that their goal for Season 2 is not to make players less powerful.

Three years on from its disastrous launch, Cyberpunk 2077 is about to turn a significant corner, and while much of that is down to its upcoming expansion, Phantom Liberty, the much-touted Update 2.0 also has its own significant role to play. That update has, in fact, now gone live, and CD Projekt RED has also released its full patch notes- which, to little surprise, are quite sizeable (to say the least).
Update 2.0 overhauls a great many systems and mechanics in the base game, including a new police system, vehicular combat, completely redesigned skill trees, an overhaul for how cyberware works, improved enemy AI, expanded options for Netrunning skills, more reactivity in the open world, and much, much more. You can check out the full and detailed patch notes below.
All of these improvements have been made to the game for free on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC, and CD Projekt RED recommends starting an entirely new save file rather than continuing a previous one, given the vast list of changes being made. Additionally, with Update 2.0, the game’s system requirements on PC have also gone up, which means an SSD is now required to play it.
Meanwhile, Phantom Liberty is set to launch on September 26, and we can safely say it’s well worth the wait. In our review of the expansion, we awarded it a score of 9/10, saying, “Phantom Liberty is what Cyberpunk 2077 should have been three years ago. It’s an incredible expansion that boasts a gripping story, compelling characters, engaging moment-to-moment gameplay, and significantly improved progression mechanics. It’s so good that it uplifts all of Cyberpunk 2077, finally making good on the lofty promises CD Projekt RED made for the base game all those years ago.” Read the full review through here.

After the disastrous response to Season 1's balance update, Blizzard is making it clear that their goal for Season 2 is not to make players less powerful.
Cyberpunk 2077 made a lot of popular changes with its version 2.0 update, but one of them appears to have had an unintended side effect. Due to changes in how clothing and armour work, a reward for completing a questline on a much harder, non-lethal path has been nerfed, making it purely aesthetic as opposed to giving you its intended in-game advantage.
The age of the dual-Zimmerman, dual-Songbirds is over.
Phantom Liberty and Update 2.0 might have made a lot of improvements to Cyberpunk 2077 but one new bug has introduced a haunted police car to Night City.
Cyberpunk 2077 launched in a rough shape, and you can still find bugs in the game. Whether you are giving the title a second chance or playing it for the first time, CD Projekt Red is ironing out as many technical issues as possible. You can argue that the game is in far better shape today than when it first launched. Still, the bugs that are present in the game can be annoying. With the recent 2.0 update along with Phantom Liberty, there are bound to be some troublesome issues that arise for players. Today, we’re getting word on what is being fixed next.
CD Projekt Red has announced that Cyberpunk 2077 patch 2.01 is «coming soon» and will mainly address performance issues and bugs.
Cyberpunk 2077’s You Know My Name is an infiltration quest to find and rescue Songbird. Our contractor is being held hostage by Kurt Hansen, so we’ll sneak into his gala at the Black Diamond in search of Songbird.
It's taken almost three years to get here, but we're confident in saying that Cyberpunk 2077 is now an excellent open world RPG. Update 2.0 just launched on PS5, and it makes a laundry list of improvements and adjustments to the game. Entire systems have been redone, combat has been refreshed, and overall, it just feels like a much better game — and we'd argue it's been pretty great since it released on PS5 last year.
A couple of weeks ago, we were treated to the 26.10 Fortnite update, which included the epic (pun intended) collaboration with My Hero Academia. We'd been wanting to Detroit Smash our way through a deathmatch for a while...
One of Cyberpunk 2077's earliest and most recognizable glitches has been preserved in its big 2.0 update.
Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty officially launches tomorrow and will bring with it brand new story content for the sci-fi RPG. However, it turns out that making just one small choice can lock you out of the main questline for good.
CD Projekt Red has confirmed the install size for Cyberpunk 2077 expansion Phantom Liberty and noted the recent Update 2.0 is required for install.
