CD Projekt RED has announced a free trial for Cyberpunk 2077 for PS5 and Xbox Series X/S owners. It goes live on March 28th at 8 AM PDT and ends on March 31st at 11:59 PM PDT.
During this time, players can experience five hours of the base game, and unlike the PlayStation Plus Premium trial, it’s free. This allows for playing through the Epilogue and starting missions of the story, with enough time to run around and delve into Night City’s side quests. Alternatively, you could ride the recently added metro or push the NCPD to its limit, thanks to vehicular combat.
Cyberpunk 2077 is available for Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, PS5 and PC. However, its most recent updates are exclusive to current-gen consoles. If you enjoy the trial, it might be worth picking up the Ultimate Edition, which includes game and its expansion, Phantom Liberty. Check out our review of the base game with Patch 2.0 and our thoughts on the expansion here.
While CD Projekt RED continues to support the game with “minor updates,” it’s currently working on Project Orion, the sequel. It’s in the early development stage, with Anna Mergill (Control, Fable) joining as its lead writer.

As PlayStation 5 owners get ready to set sail on the high seas, the former Xbox exclusive is struggling to support the number of players eager to dip into a life of piracy. Following the shocking announcement that Microsoft was bringing over a handful of games to Sony's console, PS5 players expressed great excitement at being able to play a few games that were previously inaccessible to them. While Xbox fans may have felt hung out to dry by the non-exclusivity pivot, it seems that Sony's community is more than capable of sustaining Rare's live-service game.

While it remains to be seen exactly when Microsoft will pull the curtain back on Gears of War 6, anticipation has been ramping up for a potential reveal this summer.

To say V is responsible for a lot of killing throughout 's story would be an understatement. Alongside dispatching swathes of gang members, corpo-owned armies, and more, V comes face to face with some truly brutal foes, none more memorable than Arasaka's head of security, Adam Smasher.

While the world of Night City may have already been a popular piece of pop culture before CD Projekt Red adapted the tabletop RPG into a video game, the launch of Netflix's anime further increased interest in the franchise by simply being an excellent, heartbreaking story. Now, one particularly tragic scene has been discovered in, immortalizing the fate of Kiwi.
