CD Projekt Red to ramp into ‘production phase’ of new Witcher game this year

Bungie has revealed a new Destiny 2 community event inspired by The Witcher. This new community event follows a crossover with CD Projekt Red’s hit franchise, which introduced several new cosmetics inspired by Geralt of Rivia that came with Season of the Wish. Crossovers are nothing new in Destiny 2, with Bungie introducing cosmetics based on other popular Sony titles like God of War and Horizon Forbidden West into the game, but this is the first time that one has resulted in a community event.

A new VR title, has a unique premise that is set to cross over two unexpected James Cameron movie ideas. As its name implies, the horror thriller title will take place on the RMS Titanic and let players experience the horrors involved with the Titanic's tragic real-world sinking first-hand.

CD Projekt Red plans to kick off the production phase of The Witcher 4 this year, according to the Studio Head and Joint CEO Adam Badowski.

CD Projekt has provided an update on the next mainline Witcher game and its Cyberpunk 2077 sequel.

CD Projekt Red is known for delivering some thrilling RPG experiences. The Witcher franchise put the studio on the map, and while Cyberpunk 2077’s launch might have caused the studio to stumble, they are still pushing forward. Fans of The Witcher franchise will get another serving with CD Projekt Red seeking to deliver The Witcher 4 installment in the coming years. However, we’re discovering that full production is expected this year for the upcoming title release. 

As CD Projekt staffs up for its various projects in development, the boss of the company has said it is considering adding multiplayer to the Cyberpunk 2077 sequel.
