Camp Lieutenants Have Been Buffed in Battle for Ashenvale - Now Required to Kill Faction Leaders

The rumours of Nvidia's refresh of its RTX 40-series of GPUs have been steadily building for months and although the final specifications have yet to be set in stone, the dates when you can buy them all have been leaked. The RTX 4070 Super, RTX 4070 Ti Super, and RTX 4080 Super will reportedly be announced 8 January 2024 and will reach retailers' shelves by 17, 24, and 31 January respectively. Oh, and the wholly unnecessary RTX 3050 6GB will be available in February, too.

Blizzard has made an additional change to Layers regarding Battle for Ashenvale in Season of Discovery, this time re-enabling the auto retire feature of Layers. This should help the progression rate of the next event start during offpeak hours.

Blizzard has pushed another update for Battle for Ashenvale in Season of Discovery, this time increasing the progress for the next event to begin, and increasing the Reputation gain from killing enemy Lieutenants.

Blizzard has shared a lengthy Blue Post covering the development adjustments for Battle for Ashenvale, How layers have been involved, and fixes that will be implemented for Season of Discovery. Additionally, Blizzard shares that they will be taking the lessons learned and applying them for development on future Phases in Season of Discovery.

In a recent hotfix, Blizzard has made so the Ashenvale faction leaders Felore Moonray and Kazragore spawn at their respective faction base in Ashenvale, allowing players to turn in Repelling Invaders/Clear the Forest! between battles.

Over 10 years ago, files for unknown Dark Souls messages were found in a text dump by Reddit user Retrogameaudio, who's now known as Illusory Wall, a prominent FromSoftware sleuth. Speaking about these levels, director Matthew Gallant teased that they’ll help give “a full idea of what could have been.”

The Ashenvale PvP event has been plagued by being extremely short (sometimes lasting only 15-30 seconds) in addition to not always rewarding players with Reputation for participating. This, among other things, is getting adjusted «very soon» as per a couple of tweets from WoW Classic Senior Game Producer Josh Greenfield. The main issue they seem to be targeting is the extremely short events.
