Call of Duty’s new Zombies mode turns the undead into a terrorist threat

Call of Duty’s beloved Zombies mode has its roots in Treyarch’s World War II and Black Ops games, but with November’s Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, the undead are entering the games’ current era for the first time. A teaser cinematic released by Activision on Tuesday shows off what the modern era means for zombies, including what appears to be using the living dead as a new bioterrorism threat.

Starfield total conversion mod will basically be a new Star Wars game

Starfield is seemingly infinite. From the vast, explorable planets to the myriad quests and missions, the latest Bethesda RPG game is more than a match for Skyrim, Fallout, and the rest of the Elder Scrolls series. But although Starfield mods are doing an amazing job transforming the space sim so far, there’s one thing that we’re all waiting for, especially if we long for the classics like Knights of the Old Republic and the original Star Wars Battlefront games. Now, a Starfield total conversion mod is beginning to transform the Settled Systems into something more like a galaxy far, far away, and once it’s all done, it’ll feel like a whole-new Star Wars game.

Blizzard bans 250,000 Overwatch 2 cheaters, says its AI that analyses voice chat is warning naughty players and can often 'correct negative behaviour immediately'

Overwatch 2 has not been having a good time of it in 2023. May brought the unwelcome news that Blizzard's original plans for the game's post-launch support were being changed, mainly the promised «original vision» of PvE story content. Players in the main hated this, with many pointing out this was why Overwatch 2 was considered a necessary sequel in the first place. Shortly afterwards the game was released on Steam, and this discontent found its expression in Steam review bombing.

Microsoft is set to launch its abusive-voice reporting feature for Xbox consoles. Announced in July, it lets gamers submit inappropriate remarks heard while playing multiplayer titles. The system captures a 60-second clip saved to the console; you then have 24 hours to complete the report. The feature arrives this week in the September update for Xbox Series X/S and Xbox One. However, it’s initially limited to the “select English-language markets” of the US, UK, Canada, Ireland, Australia and New Zealand.
