The folks over at Bloober Team are throwing together a new title, but this time, the franchise is through one of the IPs by Skybound Entertainment. It’s been unveiled that the development studio has partnered up with Skybound Entertainment for this next big game release. However, that’s about all we know right now about the game. With Bloober Team known for delivering horror gameplay experiences, it would be hard to see the studio partnered up with an IP not centered around a horror storyline.
If you’re unfamiliar with Skybound Entertainment, this company mainly deals with comic books. Of course, there is also a small division that handles video games. The video game division might be best known for delivering The Walking Dead: The Final Season’s last two episodes. This was during a time when Telltale Games was closing down, and it left the last installment of The Walking Dead game unfinished. With that said, thanks to VGC, we’re discovering that Skybound Entertainment is working with Bloober Team to release a game sometime in 2025.
Again, we don’t have a franchise to attach this game to quite yet. There are several franchises under Skybound Entertainment, but easily the biggest is The Walking Dead. We’ve seen several games released into the marketplace for this IP, and while Telltale Games’ take on the franchise has been well received, the others have fallen drastically short. After all, the most recent installment, The Walking Dead: Destinies, was torn to shreds by fans and critics alike.
It might also be a little while before we get any insight into this next game. Currently, the Bloober Team is working hard on the remake of Konami’s Silent Hill 2. That game was unveiled last year, and it’s been kept out of the spotlight since. Fans are hopeful that this game will be released in 2024, but so far, we don’t have a release date attached to this title. Regardless, the developers have ensured fans that they are still working through the game. However, they will have to remain silent on the title as only Konami can share new details about the game, its progress, and when players might be able to get their hands on the title. So, while we wait for the Bloober Team to open up about the game being developed under the partnership of Skybound Entertainment, you can check out a trailer for the Silent Hill 2 remake below.

In a look ahead at all the games planned for the PS5 in the coming year, Sony has confirmed that both Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater and Silent Hill 2 remake are set to release in 2024.
Did we put the Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater and Silent Hill 2 remakes on that list of our most anticipated games of 2024? The article is so voluminous I’m not sure I have the energy to check. I get halfway down the page and feel like I need to pitch camp below one of the paragraph breaks, like a mountaineer sleeping beneath a crag in one of those dangling tents. Assuming we didn’t, both have been slated for 2024 release by the PlayStation blog.
A lot of people have been quite keen to know when they can get their hands on the remake of Silent Hill 2. So much so that developer Bloober Team urged for a bit more patience, and we still have no idea when it’s releasing. But we’re getting closer.

When Konami and Bloober Team’s remake of Silent Hill 2 will actually launch is a question we’ve been asking since the game was first revealed back in late 2022, and those questions have only grown louder in the absence of any updates on the game since its unveiling. It seems, however, that this might finally be the year where the remake releases.
Konami’s remakes of Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater and Silent Hill 2 are coming to PlayStation 5 this year, according to a new hype reel released by Sony Interactive Entertainment on Thursday. Neither game had a confirmed release window from publisher Konami, but it appears both projects are now confirmed to arrive in 2024.
The Silent Hill 2 remake is likely content complete and in its polishing phase, as developer Bloober Team is shifting its focus on other projects.
With the arrival of the new year, Valve has officially dropped support for older versions of Windows. This means that Steam users that are still running Windows 7, 8 or 8.1 will need to upgrade to Windows 10 or 11 in order to continue using the digital storefront.
On January 1, Valve ended support for Windows 7, 8, and 8.1, which means that users on those older versions of Microsoft's OS will eventually not be able to use the gaming platform. «We expect the Steam client and games on these older operating systems to continue running for some time without updates after January 1st, 2024, but we are unable to guarantee continued functionality after that date,» Valve wrote in a post on the Steam support site.
