Blizzard is aware of an issue that is limiting players from progressing their Archaeology profession, and they are working on a fix.
We had to approach this issue in two steps. First, we fixed the bug a couple of days ago, so that it won’t happen to players who max their Archaeology.Second, we’re working on a fix for players who hit that point before the first hotfix.
This fix is a work in progress, and we don’t have an ETA on it just yet.
Apparently after today’s hotfix, cata digsites will start to appear once you have grand master archeology learnt. Here is from some no-lifer guilds:“Dont Learn Grand Master, so your max is 375/375 Only Farm EK and get as much Dwarf done as possible till you exhaust all the rares beside the Staff that only can appear at 450.
Dont get Max Skill (450/450) til you have 200Fragments saved, as much of Keystones saved as possible and your 4 dig sites are all dwarven ones. Get 450 with a non Dwarf relict, after that go on and pray.”If this is true please fix archeology so that digsites don’t appear in Cata zones until we learn Illustrative archeology, otherwise we will have to play arch on multiple toons since one toon is in the trashbin once they get 450.Or better yet, allow us to fly to cata zones, but only for surveying.

After today's Cataclysm Classic update, players have begun discovering a pet that was thought to only be available once players reached Archaeology level 525.
In the recent Cataclysm Classic Launch Notes, Blizzard has confirmed that the weekly cap for Valor has been raised to 1600. For reference, the weekly Valor cap in Cataclysm's original release was 1000, but due to the increased content cadence of Cataclysm Classic, the weekly Valor and Conquest caps will be raised by roughly 60%.
Players locked in combat with the forces of Hell may be encountering a strange bug with a bug — or worm to be more precise. During Helltides, the large Hellworms that spew monsters from their maws may be leaving behind 'invisible walls' that players are unable to move through. This is due to their collision boxes not being removed after they disappear back underground.Blizzard is aware of these bugged bugs. As the invisible walls can affect all players, this can potentially create problems if a Hellworm happens to leave their collision box in a particularly unfortunate place.
Cataclysm Classic brings with it many new things, including new Heirloom gear! Players who are part of a Guild can now purchase Cloak and Helm Heirlooms once they've reached the appropriate Guild Reputation. These new Heirlooms also come with an experience bonus, with Cloaks increasing experience gained by 5%, and Helms by 10%. While much of the content in Cataclysm Classic will mirror its original release, there have been several changes to Guild Perks.
