Many Players Left Off Hardcore Statue List Disqualified Due to Prior Discipline - Blizzard Confirms

The final list of Hardcore Heroes was recently released for those players who were the first to reach level 100 in Hardcore, forever to be immortalized on a statue of Lilith. However, some players have still claimed they were left off — and it turns out, this was on purpose. Global Community Development Director Adam Fletcher has reached out to several players who have been vocal on Twitter and the forums, claiming they should have been on the final list, even after Blizzard reviewed and revised it. In every situation so far, it seems that these players were intentionally left off due to disqualification — having been disciplined and actioned (in some cases permanently banned) on other Diablo titles, thus leaving them ineligible for this contest.

Diablo 4 Fans Get Warning From Blizzard About Cheating

It’s always telling that video games are subjected to various forms of cheating depending on the type of game you’re playing. If you’re doing a shooter, you might have heard of people using cheats to help them aim better or give people lag to screw up their ability to fight back against you. Other times, you’re using software to modify the game’s difficulty or help you unlock things you can’t get without grinding. Such tactics are currently being used in Diablo 4, and Blizzard isn’t happy with that, to the extent that they’re sending out a severe warning to those who don’t stop.

Don't try to mod Diablo 4 or you could be permanently banned, Blizzard warn

I enjoy cracking video games open like an egg so I can fry, scramble, poach or, uh, omelette their insides. Modding and tapping in console commands are a core part of why I like PC games.

Blizzard buzzkills fix Diablo 4's best bug

A new Diablo 4 patch has arrived with a number of welcome fixes and bugs, including adjustments to the UI that will hopefully cut down on the number of unintentional premium battle pass activations. But there's one change it makes to the game that, to be blunt, I am very disappointed by.
