Neil Newbon, the beloved actor being Astarion in makes his return to the world of albeit in a very different role. While Newbon has had a prolific career behind the microphone, his most popular character is undoubtedly the vampire rogue in Larian Studios' RPG for which he even earned the coveted Best Performance award at The Game Awards 2023. While he may not be returning to play Astarion in the near future, he's still doing some rather exciting with Wizards of the Coast on its ever-popular fantasy game series.
Unveiled in a trailer on YouTube to promote the upcoming Adventure Module, Newbon lends his voice to the titular Lich and delivers a brief but genuinely memorable performance.
Whether Wizards of the Coasts intends to further use the actor as the iconic villain remains unknown but his voice is a perfect fit for the sinister ruminations of the undead god. The adventure will see players working together with some of most famous archmages to rebuild the Rod of Seven Parts and stop Vecna from destroying every plane of existence.
Designed for characters between Level 10 and 20, includes several iconic locales such as the Forgotten Realms, Planescape, Spelljammer, Dragonlance, Eberron, and more as players take on over 30 new monsters from across the multiverse. The book can be purchased in hard copy or digitally through D&D Beyond. Those who pre-order the module will gain access to the prequel story, early access to and exclusive digital perks like a dice set, and 11 new frames.
Vecna is one of ' oldest villains, having first been mentioned in the original version of the game back in 1976.
While Newbon may lend his vocal talents to Vecna in the trailer, it appears that he won't feature in the digital version of the adventure module. While it would probably be too much to ask of Wizards of the Coast to have the actor read out segments of the digital book, it's still fun to imagine. In just a minute, Newbon is able to capture the elegant arrogance of one of ' most feared characters, so hopefully he has an opportunity to continue playing the villain in future trailers or promotional cinematics.
It's also fun to know that Newbon is open to continue working with now that his work on has officially come to an end.Larian Studios has confirmed that it has no plans on returning to the game for expansions or a sequel, so while Astarion may appear in other mediums, his time in the RPG has come to a close. launches on May 21 and can be pre-ordered now.

may already be filled with a plethora of gigantic beasts to battle and tame, but fans of large and imposing arachnids who feel like the game is lacking in spiders should check out this impressive mod. Throughout survivors' journies across The Island, plenty of fearsome dinosaurs will rear their intimidating heads, and while they may not all be aggressive, it's still a good idea to form a small collection of beasts that make combat significantly easier. While the latest addition may not pack a massive punch, it makes up for this shortcoming with its adorable appearance.
Betheda's official next-gen update for may have come at a cost to players by impacting a far more exciting, highly anticipated project. Baldur's Gate 3 fans who still haven't gotten their fill of everybody's favourite vampiric sadist, Astarion, can now look forward to an all-new adventure alongside Neil Newbon. The actor portrays the ultimate evil antagonist, Vecna, in a one-shot tabletop adventure, putting in an appropriately imposing vocal performance as one of the setting's big-bads.
In a game of exceedingly well-written characters like Baldur's Gate 3, the sadistic and sexually suggestive vampire spawn Astarion manages to stand out. But despite developer Larian Studios clearly signalling that it is moving on from the game and away from the series, Astarion actor Neil Newbon isn't quite ready to follow suit.
While may have come to an end, that doesn't mean its cast of characters can't go on any further adventures. Following the announcement that Larian Studios won't be developing any DLC for its critically-revered RPG, the community was understandably disappointed that they wouldn't be able to spend any more time with the likes of Astarion and Shadowheart. Fortunately, due to the game being an official part of the universe, there will seemingly be more opportunities for the characters to return either in a sequel or a different medium entirely.
players disappointed by the lack of options afforded by the game's outer space sections are in luck becausea new mod aims to provide the community with more activities to accomplish while cruising around the cosmos in their ship. While the sci-fi RPG does have a handful of combat encounters that prompt users to engage in zero-gravity dogfights, they're all rather simple and repetitious, never offering much in the way of variety or depth. The player base has long requested more options for these encounters and one talented creator has responded to those demands with an excellent add-on.
With Larian leaving Baldur’s Gate 3 and Dungeons & Dragons behind to work on a brand new game, the future of the series and the characters the developer brought to life is up in the air. But for Hasbro, owner of Dungeons & Dragons operator Wizards of the Coast, the hope is fans won’t have to wait as long for the next Baldur’s Gate game as they did for Baldur’s Gate 3.
Larian Studios confirmed earlier this year that it will not be involved in Baldur's Gate 4. The studio is moving away from Dungeons & Dragons to focus on its own projects, whatever they may be. But that doesn't mean the series is over.
A new adaptation of Isuna Hasekura's beloved Japanese light novel series Spice and Wolf has arrived – and with two of the original voice actors from the English dub of the 2008 anime.
is about to become even more difficult as the game's latest mission type forces players to go up against some of the Automaton's most powerful units. While the kinds of enemies players will encounter in are largely determined by the difficulty of the mission they embark upon, users who want to farm some of the rare resources will need to run through some of the more brutal settings to upgrade their ship modules. Unfortunately, that now means going head-to-head against Factory Striders with the primary goal being to bring down the walking tanks.
is already a massive game but fans who want to take the experience even further by expanding on the game's story and factions are in luck because a new mod is aiming to do just that. Over the course of The Courier's adventure across the Mojave Wasteland, they'll encounter all kinds of colorful NPCs, many of whom belong to some sketchy groups vying for control of the post-apocalyptic United States. One of the more barbaric is Ceaser's Legion, and while they may come across as pure villains in the base game, Nova Arizona wants to improve them.
Baldur’s Gate 3's Astarion actor, Neil Newbon, cut a very cool figure on the BAFTA Games Awards red carpet, with his shirt-free suit being translated into online fan art almost instantaneously.
