Baldur's Gate 3 speedrunners are now competing to see who can bonk the bear the quickest

As an RPG that places a high emphasis on choice, many of the possible decisions in the quests of can have different outcomes. Rewards, the fates of minor NPCs, and even entire character arcs can change depending on which options are chosen — and, in many cases, not all the options available are clearly outlined. However, as these choices can also have a snowball effect on later events in the game, it can be difficult to make a clear decision, especially as many of them can only be made once in a single playthrough.

Baldur’s Gate 3 patch five is live now, and it’s a big one, to say the least. Not only have a load of performance improvements been rolled out, but players can now experience a brand-new epilogue, which developer Larian Studios says features “some of the most complex writing in the game so far.”

If you were playing Baldur’s Gate 3 during Act 3 and realized it was running pretty slow, it was apparently due to the theft and violence you performed earlier in the game.

Bethesda's heaping plateful of space-spaghetti Starfield presently rejoices in the status of a Mixed Steam user review rating, with over 80,000 such reviews posted to date. Bethesda High Command are clearly displeased with this, and several unnamed but platform-verified developers have begun replying to and rebutting individual Steam reviewers, giving apparent priority to complaints about the game's loading breaks during fast travel and when moving between maps.

Larian Studios has announced that it will be revealing the release date for Baldur's Gate 3 on Xbox Series X|S at The Game Awards 2023 and that it's still on track for the end of the year.
