Baldur's Gate 3 PS5 Deluxe Edition Delayed in North America, as Other Regions Ship This Week | Push Square

There’s a lot of TV to weed through in any week, and this week is no exception — something I’m sure I’ve said about plenty of packed TV weeks, but what’re you gonna do! The television giveth, and giveth, and taketh away, and giveth some more.

Baldur's Gate 3 Deluxe Edition console orders are finally getting into the hands of players in some countries, following a delay. However, those in North America may have to wait even longer, as Larian reveals that there's a hold-up in getting Deluxe Editions shipped to the region.

Speedrunning has a long history with Nintendo games, with titles like Mario and Metroid famed for their speed-running potential. Nintendo Switch owners will soon be able to test their skill on various retro challenges when launches on July 18. Additionally, NES superfans who don’t mind paying a bit extra can pick up the $60 Deluxe Set, now available for pre-order.

Anyone hoping to get their hands on the physical copies of console Deluxe Editions of Baldur’s Gate 3 will now have to wait a while longer thanks to production issues out of the developer's hands. 

The release of 's Deluxe Edition has shown there's still an appetite for a dying trend in gaming: Physical media. After years in Early Access on PC, Larian Studios' RPG saw a full release last year and also came to consoles digitally. The title received incredibly high critical acclaim, winning many Game of the Year awards from the likes of The Game Awards, DICE, The Game Developers Choice Awards, The Golden Joystick Awards, and most recently, BAFTA, and even making its way onto Screen Rant's "" list.

Some Baldur's Gate 3 fans who are waiting on the arrival of their physical copies of the game's Deluxe Edition may have to wait longer than expected, as Larian Studios has announced it is experiencing additional production delays for certain regions. The Deluxe Edition copies of Baldur's Gate 3 had all been originally been announced for the first quarter of 2024, but an earlier round of delays had already pushed it back.

But Larian has left the building, moving onwards and upwards, and ultimate IP holder Hasbro has already made a $1 billion bet on internal game development.

Square Enix has revealed the bugs stopping Final Fantasy XVI players from starting New Game+ and unlocking specific Trophies will be fixed in a PS5 patch slated to arrive at the end of next week. When beginning a second playthrough and deciding to skip the prologue, some users are not seeing essential party members spawn, making it impossible to push the main quest forward. The publisher came up with a workaround, but the PS5 update landing on 9th May 2024 should fix it for good.

Koei Tecmo has shared a brief sales update for recent PS5 exclusive Rise of the Ronin, revealing «sales are surpassing the Nioh series». Without posting any hard numbers, it goes on to say the game has a «high valuation» amongst players and the company is now looking at «mid to long-term growth» for the title.

It sounds like Korean developer Shift Up may revert its controversial Stellar Blade outfit changes, as it’s told fans to “stay tuned for updates” and thanked players for their “passion and feedback”. For those out of the loop, a petition went viral this weekend after gamers noticed some alterations to a couple of the release’s costumes, incorporated by the release’s day one patch.

There are a lot of things to discover in Stellar Blade, but the primary type of collectible is cans. As you explore the PS5 console exclusive’s Naytiba-inhabited world, you’ll discover all sorts of tins, ranging from iced coffee to soda. All of these brands, however, are fictional – because Korean developer Shift Up wasn’t able to secure a partnership with a real-life manufacturer like Pepsi or Coca-Cola.
