Baldur's Gate 3 released Patch 6 on February 16, and though it introduced a few notable improvements across the board, it also brought several bugs to the game, including a strange visual glitch that occurs in the main menu. Whereas Patch 5 for Baldur's Gate 3 had a stable launch by any measure, Patch 6 has been less than stellar from a technical standpoint. Players from across all platforms reported crashes in Act 3, while others had strange bugs such as NPCs, vendors, and even companions turning hostile.
That being said, the technical shortcomings of Patch 6 for Baldur's Gate 3 have done little to stop players from having fun, as they praised the new animations, as well as having a more streamlined way to recruit Minthara in a non-evil playthrough. Unlike in previous versions of the game, Act 2 spawns a brand-new version of Minthara in Moonrise for any player who knocks her out in Act 1, be it temporarily or permanently.
However, perhaps one of the more amusing bugs in Patch 6 has been a graphical glitch in the main menu screen of Baldur's Gate 3. For a currently unknown reason, fog and smoke effects in the Temple of Bhaal fail to load properly. As a result, the game defaults to using a placeholder particle texture, which implies that a shader issue is the likely culprit. Footage of the glitch was shared by iDramos on the main Baldur's Gate 3 subreddit.
Though Larian Studios has no accurate release window concerning a solution for Patch 6's lingering major issues, the latest batch of hotfixes for Baldur's Gate 3 was released on February 20. Specifically, this update fixed the bartering crashes introduced by Patch 6, and addressed a few other bugs related to vendors. While some players are contemplating either remaining in Patch 5 or taking a break from Baldur's Gate 3 until Patch 7, the community is confident that Larian will address the problem in a timely manner.
Ultimately, with Baldur's Gate 3's recent DICE Awards win, the game continues to accrue major accolades and widespread critical acclaim. With Larian already working on its next game, players are anxiously wondering if the developers will provide any DLC for Baldur's Gate 3 in the near future. Though the patches have introduced plenty of new content to Baldur's Gate 3, it's safe to say that fans aren't quite ready to say goodbye to the game's cast of characters just yet.

Genshin Impact is bringing two new Artifacts Sets in Version 4.6, and one of them seems to hint towards an upcoming Dendro character. Though not all ability kits are created equal in Genshin Impact and sometimes 5-stars such as Alhaitham and Neuvillette emerge on top of the meta, artifacts are arguably the main source of power for a Genshin Impact character. Artifact Sets such as Viridescent Venerer and Emblem of Severed Fate have long been a mainstay when it comes to team-building in Genshin Impact, but Fontaine and Sumeru brought a fair few heavy hitters as well.
All things are not equal in the world of’s companions with some getting significantly more love than others. With 10 potential companions to recruit, it’s hardly surprising that some have had a little more attention and care put into them than others. However, when the numbers are actually broken down, the discrepancies become staggeringly obvious, leaving some companions clear winners and others the losers.
City of Heroes was recently updated with its first official update since the game shut down in 2012 with Homecoming’s Issue 27, Page 7 patch. While Homecoming, as well as other servers, have been operating and publishing updates for many years now, NCsoft gave the Homecoming team the official license to operate City of Heroes back in January.
It’s been a tumultuous week in the world of Helldivers 2, which saw the game’s first balance patch nerf its best loadout, an associated backlash, and, most recently, a call-to-arms to unlock mechs. Now, developer Arrowhead has addressed the backlash in particular, and signaled plans to change the game as a result.
Cyberpunk 2077 patch 2.12 hit the RPG on February 29 alongside some relatively short patch notes. The patch notably didn't mention a newly discovered Easter egg attached to an unassuming diner in Watson district, which the devs at CD Projekt Red were only recently musing about being undiscovered.
Hotfix #21 for Baldur's Gate 3 has arrived for PC and PS5 with yet more fixes for common issues players have found themselves experiencing lately. This update also restores a few quality-of-life features Baldur's Gate 3 players enjoyed that had been previously removed. The release of Hotfixes #20 and #21 for Xbox is delayed for the time being due to a bug causing the game to crash on the console.
World of Warcraft Classic has released a new update for Season of Discovery, which primarily deals with class tuning, but also makes some important changes to the Stranglethorn Vale boss. While it's safe to say that Season of Discovery has been a major success for World of Warcraft Classic, the experiment is still ongoing. Its premise has allowed the developers to reinvent the Classic experience, divided into five distinct phases, each being capped off with an endgame raid instance appropriate for its level cap.
is well-known for its memorable and often lovable characters, but there's one in particular who has proven to be consistently problematic across the course of its continued development. Although finished its early access period and had a full release in August 2023, it has continued to evolve since then, with regular updates addressing problems and complaints to improve the game. While many issues can be addressed with one-and-done fixes, not everything ends up being so simple.
Playstack, the publisher of popular roguelike deckbuilder Balatro confirmed on Twitter that the game has been temporarily removed from some digital storefronts due to a sudden rating change. Apparently, the UK rating board PEGI changed the rating from 3+ to 18+ overnight due to “prominent gambling imagery” which prompted the sudden delistings. The problem here is that there is literally no gambling in Balatro.
On top of teasing Chiori and its upcoming events, Genshin Impact has also revealed a new type of banner for Version 4.5 that will use a Chronicled Path, allowing players to pull for a designated character or weapon. Though rumors of a third banner type have long been whispered in the Genshin Impact community, the official reveal promises to bring players a generous way to obtain older characters such as Albedo or Eula, guarantee standard characters such as Jean or Diluc, and even pull for previously-unobtainable weapons such as Beacon of the Reed Sea and Hunter's Path.
After putting everyone in the mood for a smooch on Valentine’s Day with its hefty Patch 6, Baldur's Gate 3 is continuing the friendly atmosphere in its latest hotfix, which makes your party members want to hang out with you and everyone less likely to tell you to piss off (without good reason, anyway).
