Assassin’s Creed Jade Delayed to 2025 – Rumour

The next title in Ubisoft's long-running Assassin's Creed franchise seems to have had a version of its main menu leaked online. Assassin's Creed Red will see the series set foot in ancient Japan for the very first time, something fans have been wishing for Ubisoft to do for years. Red will also kick off Assassin's Creed Infinity, a sort of hub which will house several large Assassin's Creed games for years to come. Fans seem to be split on Ubisoft's decision to have a Call of Duty HQ-esque structure for a series of single-player experiences, and it's still not clear what exactly Assassin's Creed Infinity will entail.

Assassin's Creed Mirage update 1.0.8 is set to roll out on Tuesday, April 9, at 4am PT / 7am ET / 1pm CET. The upcoming patch will introduce fixes for some Assassin's Creed Mirage quest bugs and performance improvements, among other changes.

Abubakar Salim, the actor who portrayed Bayek of Siwa, protagonist of Ubisoft's acclaimed Assassin's Creed Origins, has expressed interest in bringing Bayek back for a follow-up sequel. Publisher Future Friends Games and developer Helder Pinto have delayed open-world adventure game Europa from its previously planned April 16 release date to a little later—“probably until summer.” It will be available for PC via Steam, with a console release to follow.

Developers G-MODE and Plus81 have delayed visual novel SHINJUKU SOUMEI from its previously planned April 12 release date to May 24. It will be available for PC via Steam and DLsite for 3,990 yen, with support for English, Japanese, and Simplified Chinese language options. A demo will launch in late April, though it will not have transferrable save data.

We’ve already been waiting for Grand Theft Auto 6 for well over a decade at this point, so a recent report by Kotaku that the game’s production was falling behind and that its release date could slip into 2026 were met with widespread disappointment. There seems to be conflicting information out there on that front though, because different sources are now claiming that a delay isn’t on the table for the game right now.

From the Nintendo Switch and the Steam Deck to the many similar devices the latter in particular has spawned (including the likes of the Lenovo Legion Go, ROG Ally, and more), there’s been no shortage of evidence that there’s incredible demand within the gaming audiences for handheld devices. Interestingly, it seems like Microsoft is at least tinkering with the idea of such a device.

Upon its official announcement in December, Grand Theft Auto 6 was handed a 2025 launch window, but if a report recently published by Kotaku is to be believed, the game is in danger of failing to hit its intended launch window, as has often been the case with Rockstar Games titles in the past.
