Forgive us if we’re starting to sound like a broken record, but Ark: Survival Ascended’s launch on Xbox has been delayed. It’s the third time developer Studio Wildcard has delayed its dinosaur survival game in a month.
Earlier this week, Ark: Survival Ascended’s Xbox Series X and S release date was delayed just a day before it was due to come out. Developer Studio Wildcard had already delayed the console version following the Steam launch, with the Xbox and Windows PC version set to come out on November 14, and the PlayStation 5 version due out at some point later this month.
Studio Wildcard had said Ark: Survival Ascended was going through Xbox’s certification process, which caused the delay, but expected the game to launch on Xbox and Windows PC “later this week”. At the time, Ark fans expressed a healthy dose of scepticism about the release window. It turns out they were right to.
Today, Studio Wildcard issued another update, this time to delay Ark: Survival Ascended again to “early next week”.
“Unfortunately, the certification process has yielded some unexpected issues, so we are working with Microsoft to resubmit the build as soon as possible,” Studio Wildcard said in a statement. “We’re currently targeting Ark: Survival Ascended to launch early next week, and we hope to share a more precise update by the end of the week. We apologise for the added delay, we’re working hard to get it out the door.”
As you’d expect, fans have expressed just as much healthy scepticism about this latest release window as the last. Will Ark Survival Ascended come out on Xbox early next week? Roll the dice!

I based all my plans of the week around this dropping for Xbox and now I’m out of vacation days and won’t be able to have the time to enjoy the game when it does finally launch on Xbox. Unbelievable that you guys do this again and again.

At long last, Soul, Luca, and Turning Red will hit theaters.
Ark: Survival Ascended, the Unreal Engine 5 remaster of Ark: Survival Evolved, had a heck of a launch in early October. With 600,000 copies sold after only two weeks, it looked like it'd quickly march right up the list of the most played games on Steam, where the original dino survival game perched for so many years.

Following a string of delays, Ark: Survival Ascended will finally release tomorrow on PlayStation 5.

A new rotor for helicopters that will be used in future missions was tested recently at the NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) in Southern California, while real-life flight simulation was conducted on Mars through the Ingenuity Mars Helicopter, which broke altitude and airspeed records during an experimental flight. The NASA team was surprised by the performance of the new Mars helicopter while conducting the test. Know the details.
In October of last year, a remake of Silent Hill 2 was announced. It's been over a year since, and news of how the project's coming along has been as quiet and as foggy as the titular town of Silent Hill itself.
The saga of Ark: Survival Ascended’s console release date has taken another twist, with developer Studio Wildcard committing to a release date for the Xbox version, but delaying the PlayStation 5 version.
The Game Awards are coming up on December 7, and with nominees having been revealed for all categories, over the coming days and weeks, we should start getting details on some of the announcements and reveals we’ll see at the showcase.
