Another Code: Recollection demo now available

Just over a month away from its PS5 and PS4 release, Granblue Fantasy: Relink is getting new gameplay footage on the regular, and this latest chunk of combat from Famitsu is a treat. The 20-minute video focuses on several multiplayer boss fights (which are also playable solo with CPU allies). As we keep saying, the action RPG looks super promising, especially as full teams of four can coordinate their attacks to rack up huge combos and deal crazy damage.

2023 was a good year for MMORPGs. Even without a major new MMO release, we saw plenty of good expansions hit older MMOs. Even with the expansion hoopla, I spent less time playing MMOs in 2023 than in any year since 2004. I just couldn't pull myself away from all of the great single-player and co-op titles that were released this year. Baldur’s Gate 3, a  trip back to Cyberpunk 2077, Forza Motorsport, and several other great games took every minute of gaming I had available.

During this year's Granblue Fest, Japanese game developer Cygames announced that a free demo of Granblue Fantasy: Relink would be released next month on PlayStation and PlayStation 5 ahead of the scheduled global release date of February 1st, 2024. Featured content includes a small chunk of the main story, eleven playable characters, and even playable online quests in cooperative multiplayer. Moreover, completing story and quest content will provide rewards for the full game.

Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name has been warmly received on PS5 and PS4, but there’s been controversy surrounding its English dub. While most fans generally prefer to play the franchise with subtitles anyway, SEGA has found success adding English voiceovers to the series in recent years, making the franchise more accessible than it’s historically been.

2023 is almost in the books for Nintendo, but it’s kicking off the new year with Another Code: Recollection, a compilation of two classic point-and-click adventure titles. An overview trailer is available to discuss the game’s features, while a free demo is live on the Nintendo eShop (featuring the first chapter of Another Code: Two Memories).

Another Orphan sequel is officially in development, director William Brent Bell has revealed.

That update is available now, so if you’ve been holding out so you can play the game in English, now’s your chance to jump in.

Publisher Sony Interactive Entertainment and developer Team NINJA have opened physical and digital pre-orders for Rise of the Ronin, which will launch for PlayStation 5 on March 22, 2024. It will cost $69.99 for the standard physical or digital edition, and $79.99 for the Digital Deluxe Edition. Physical edition pre-orders are available at retailers such as Amazon, Best Buy, Play-Asia, PlayStation Direct, Walmart.
