Gaming hardware company Analogue announces a version of the Nintendo 64 called the Analogue 3D. Described as “A reimagining of the N64,” its features include 4K graphics and a variety of retro-inspired display modes.
The Analogue 3D launches next year and will let players revisit classic N64 games in 4K HD. Meanwhile, the consoles can also simulate the visual quality of specific PVM and CRT monitors from the N64 period. This means players are covered whether they want a high-resolution or retro experience. Other features include Bluetooth, a 2.4G wireless connection, and four Nintendo 64 controller sockets. Analogue says the 3D is “The first and only aftermarket solution supporting 100% compatibility in every region.” As with Analogue’s other systems, the 3D does not run an emulator. Instead, the console’s integrated circuitry mimics the original hardware.
Analogue specializes in modern revivals of classic consoles. In 2019, the company released the Analogue Pocket, a handheld console compatible with Game Boy, Game Boy Color, and Game Boy Advance games. Users could also buy adapters for Game Gear, Neo Geo Pocket, Neo Geo Pocket Color, and Atari Lynx game cartridges. The company also made consoles compatible with NES, SNES, Sega Genesis, Sega Master System, Game Gear, and SG-1000. Its other upcoming console, the Analogue Duo, supports all cartridge and disk-based NEC consoles.
The Analogue 3D launches in 2024, and prospective buyers can sign up for notifications on the company’s website. It’s unclear how much the new console will cost. However, the Analogue Pocket and Duo retailed at $249.99, so the new console may be around that price.

Black-owned indie game and animation studio JumpButton (JBS) is a force to be reckoned with in the industry. Their diverse and inclusive storytelling team is driving a range of startlingly original IPs that give center stage to those who are historically excluded or marginalized, while they spearhead the charge to more than double the amount of Black, brown and queer representation in the industry at large (which currently hovers at a pitiful 4%).

Barbarians, Druids, Necromancers, and Sorcerers each have a brand new seven inch action figure to show their class pride — Rogues, however, seem to be stealthed, as there doesn't appear to be a Rogue figurine. Blizzcon Blink Store Each product is listed for $30 USD, and has three color variants: Common, Rare, and Epic, each associated with a popular build for that class.
The multiplayer-defining perks and unlocks of the best Call of Duty games were originally seen as a parallel to Fallout, and they helped define the progression system that ultimately convinced the series' developers to stop trying to beat Counter-Strike at its own game.
On October 28, 2023, the Call of Duty series will be 20 years old. While it's now one of the most impressive and well-resourced development projects on the planet, with three core studios (as well as support studios) dedicated to keeping its annual release cycle spinning, the foundations for its success were laid by Infinity Ward which, after developing the first two games in the franchise, was given the time to make something really special, and produced what is still the series' defining entry with 2007's Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare.
Have you ever thought of being able to play Nintendo 64 classics like Super Mario 64, The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time and GoldenEye in 4K resolution? We haven't either, but it's still a pretty cool idea that will become a reality thanks to the Analogue 3D.
Following a notoriously bumpy launch in 2020, CD Projekt Red successfully redeemed and revived Cyberpunk 2077 with several updates and the excellent Phantom Liberty expansion.
