Amazon Prime Video Schedule January 22-28 2024: New TV Shows & Movies Being Added

With Death Stranding 2: On the Beach due out next year, and Kojima Productions set to begin production on new stealth-action IP Physint around the same time, Hideo Kojima and its studio have plenty on their plate already- though that’s not all. Also in the works is OD, a horror game being made in collaboration with Xbox Game Studios, which, as revealed at The Game Awards in December, will also see acclaimed American actor and filmmaker Jordan Peele collaborating with Kojima.

A pilot named Chris Clarke has stirred up a storm on the internet after a video surfaced showing him allegedly flying a light aircraft while wearing Apple Vision Pro. The video, posted on X, has garnered over 5.6 million views since Tuesday, accompanied by a cautionary Community Note. In the footage, Clarke is seen using the Apple Vision Pro, manipulating windows and interacting with visionOS while also handling the plane's controls. This incident adds to a series of viral videos involving the Apple Vision Pro since its release, including one where a driver used it while operating a Tesla on Autopilot, drawing attention from Secretary of Transportation Pete Buttigieg.

This weekend sees another bumper crop of new movies and shows arriving on streaming, so there's never been a better time to hunker down in front of the TV. First up, Second World War drama Masters of the Air kicks off on Apple TV Plus, featuring Austin Butler swapping Graceland for the cockpit, while new crime series Griselda hits Netflix. Elsewhere, The Farewell director Lulu Wang's new series Expats, starring Nicole Kidman, arrives on Prime Video, a prequel to Jonathan Glazer's Sexy Beast is now streaming on Paramount Plus, and the Queer Eye gang is back for an eighth season on Netflix. 

Amazon.com Inc.'s Ring home doorbell unit says it will stop letting police departments request footage from users' video doorbells and surveillance cameras, retreating from a practice that was criticized by civil liberties groups and some elected officials.

Following a lengthy investigation, the United States Justice Department is set to file a lawsuit against Apple for potentially breaching antitrust laws. The department alleges Apple is using hardware and software limitations that make it harder for rival companies to compete with iPhones and iPads. If the filing goes ahead, it will mean each of the “big four” tech companies – Amazon, Meta, Google and Apple – will have been sued by the US federal government within the past five years for monopolistic business practices.

At CES 2023, Roland introduced a streaming mixer called Bridge Cast, which can give creators a way to pipe different audio feeds to different destinations and make it easy for them to create mixes, add vocal effects and remove unwanted audio. Now, the company has unveiled a follow-up to the device called Bridge Cast X that adds video support on top of all its predecessor's audio-focused features. The Bridge Cast X has two HDMI input ports and an HDMI Thru connector that can feed video up to 4K in resolution to an external monitor.

Disney Lorcana publisher Ravensburger spent the first few weeks of 2024 giving fans in the United States and Europe what they wanted, namely more cards available for purchase on store shelves. Now they’re providing additional certainty for the game as a whole with a 2024 roadmap. Details include notes on the highly anticipated competitive circuit (including the first world championship tournament), firm release dates for all four sets arriving at retail this year, and the announcement of a new introductory starter box.

Apple has finally revealed the date for the date on which the Apple Vision Pro sale will start. It has also indicated that the pre-order starts this Friday. The official sale date is scheduled for February 2, 2024. As far as the Vision Pro is concerned, while the tech is awesome and its capabilities simply mind-blowing, there are a few things buyers should look at. Experts have indicated that the new AR/VR headset is complicated to use and has a low battery life. That means it will be hard to persuade people to invest in a $3499 headset. Additionally, it has been reported that the sale process is a lengthy one and buyers will likely have to sit through a 25-minute demo video. Check what Apple has planned for Vision Pro sale.
