When it comes to the roster of Tekken 8, you'll struggle to find a character that stands out as much as Yoshimitsu does, and that's taking into account the bear and the panda. It probably has something to do with him being a space ninja, equipped with a distinctive set of armor that makes him look like he's been plucked straight out of a game like Elden Ring.
Obviously, another Tekken fan thought the same, as they managed to take Yoshimitsu and plop him in The Lands Between, much to the dismay of probably every single living creature in the game. The fan in question responsible for Yoshimitsu's little excursion is Reddit user Tchjay92, who shared a video of themselves controlling the character and brutally slashing up some nearby soldiers.
To bring Yoshitmitsu to life, Tchjay92 explains on the creation's Nexus Mods page that they essentially made a custom armor set and sword based on his equipment in Tekken 8 and added it to the game in place of the Beast Champion Set and the Uchigatana. That makes it very handy to both install and acquire in-game, meaning you'll actually be able to set up your own Yoshimitsu cosplay with relative ease.
You bet I'll replay this game with this exact skin installed once the supposed DLC finally drops.
In addition to their own mod, Tchjay92 is also using another popular Elden Ring mod called Carian Combo Warriors to give Yoshimitsu more of a unique combination of moves, as the mod itself changes the attack animations of weapons such as katanas and straight swords to be a lot flashier than intended. With both of these mods combined, it's almost as if Yoshimitsu was meant to be slicing and dicing his way through Elden Ring all this time.
You'll even find a few people claiming that they're going to save the mod for now and then apply it once the Shadow of the Erdtree DLC finally drops. We still don't quite know when that will be, though there has been an awful lot of activity on the Elden Ring Steam page as of late, which has been a constant source of speculation that we might see a release date announced within the next few weeks.
Until then, I guess we can all run around as Yoshitmitsu, Kairi, Sora, and whoever else the Elden Ring fanbase decides needs to start smashing stuff up in the base game.
