With more people talking about it and thousands of people still playing and, many people across social media have thrown around wild rumors and speculation. Sadly, for those looking for more information, it's more than likely that the massive 2022 leak that revealed 90 early alpha videos of the game is probably the most accurate information regarding the next entry. Those videos speculated that the new game will star a male and female protagonist and take place in the same or similar location as. That said, it's still fun to look at all the most out-there rumors over the years, even those lacking credible evidence.

While it's likely that will be the largest game of all time, it's unlikely that the Project Americas rumors that envisioned expanded country maps are true. While the more believable idea that Miami, Rio De Janeiro, and Cuba could be included, the concept that entire countries of North and South America would be in the game is likely not in the stars. There was also a brief rumor circulating that the city of London might be included, though there has been no evidence of that location since the rumor started.
After all, Rockstar is already known to create massive open-world titles, and the amount of detail required to go into an entire United States or South America would be virtually impossible, even with the amount of development time has likely had. According to leaks, the game will likely occur in the Vice City-type location in a fictionalized Mimai-Dade area with expanded boroughs. There may even still be opportunities to visit other locales outside the main city, like islands in the Caribbean, though that has not been confirmed as of writing.
There has been a multitude of map leaks over the years, with different iterations of the upcoming game's map detailed by anonymous users and well-known speculators online. Sadly, for eager fans of the franchise, the game map is one of the things excluded in the massive 2022 leak, but it hasn't stopped numerous people from «leaking» the map online. Most, if not all, the map leaks showcasing an impressive map have proven to be fan-created so far. One such example saw a user create the map based on reference footage from the 2022 leaks, which is likely the most accurate depiction.
