A fan-made map would make the perfect setting for a hypothetical , even if it leaves out iconic locations from the two previous games. Of course, no one knows anything about at this point in time, but it is believed to be in development at Rockstar. Whatever it turns out to be, it'll have to differ significantly from the previous two games. Since and have basically taken the van der Linde-Morgan-Marston saga as far as it'll go, will have to go elsewhere for inspiration.

Video game analyst group Circana has released its October 2023 U.S. Video Game Market Highlights report and in it, the company reveals that Marvel's Spider-Man 2 was the best-selling game of the month. The PlayStation 5 was the best-selling console of the month, too.

We don't love the Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection around these parts, but if you don't want to run your original PlayStation copies through an emulator, it's the only game in town on PC. Thankfully, modders have come to the rescue.

Opinions vary on whether 2005's Boiling Point: Road To Hell was ever, could ever have been, a good game. What's clear is that it was interesting, both as an early example of an open-world RPG and as an infamously broken example of Eurojank. Now it's getting a re-release in just ten days and I'm fascinated to know whether a Boiling Point with fewer bugs has anything to offer the world in 2023.

The first trailer for Marvel Studios’ Echo is full of surprises. It’s shockingly violent, as we watch Kingpin beat a man half to death, and see his adoptive daughter Maya Lopez (the eponymous Echo) throwing savage blows and snapping the necks of street-level scum. There’s even a very brief Daredevil cameo. (OK, that last part is not really a surprise; we knew that Charlie Cox and Vincent D’Onofrio would return as Matt Murdock and Wilson Fisk, respectively, for Echo.)

Many board gamers are shallow. All they care about is how things look. It’s not what’s on the inside that matters (unless you’re talking components and then we’re back to high snobbery with supreme deluxe big box editions).

October 28 marked 20 years of the Call of Duty series, as part of which some of the key designers  have been talking about the greatest moments. The foundation for its overwhelming success, however, will always be original developer Infinity Ward, in particular the leap forward the studio made with the Modern Warfare series. It delivered an unforgettable and oft-controversial singleplayer campaign reflecting one view of contemporary geopolitics, alongside a best-in-class multiplayer experience that the wider series has followed ever since.

The unlikeliest comics crossover of 2023 is halfway through its four-issue run, and it's turning out to be a good deal of blood-soaked fun.
