It sounds like a new successor to the Switch could be approaching. New reports out of Gamescom 2023 say Nintendo showed off Switch 2 tech demos to developers behind closed doors.

Zenless Zone Zero is an upcoming game published by HoYoverse. With Genshin Impact, Honkai Star Rail, and Honkai Impact 3rd being highly successful in the gacha genre, will Zenless Zone Zero meet the expectations of fans?
For more information about Zenless Zone Zero, visit the game’s official website.
While a Zenless Zone Zero console port hasn’t been officially announced yet, the game itself will be making an appearance at Gamescom 2023 Opening Night in Cologne, Germany.
Speculations have begun to surface about a PlayStation port of the game due to a recent teaser trailer that features a skateboard with the PlayStation logo on it.
Naturally, this has ignited the hopes of HoYoverse fans, as they are expecting an official announcement during the Gamescom Opening Night.
In terms of release dates, it’s all pretty much in the air at the moment. Zenless Zone Zero doesn’t have a launch date at this current time, meaning a PlayStation port could be added on launch day or at a later date.
Honkai Star Rail’s PlayStation 5 port is due to be released in Q4 of 2023 with no set date as of yet – the game originally came out in April 2023.
The Zenless Zone Zero gameplay that we’ve already seen looks amazing and we can’t wait to finally get our hands on it. It definitely looks a little different from Genshin Impact and the Honkai franchise.
The game strays away from the high fantasy aspects of Genshin but resembles the modern sci-fi aesthetic of Honkai Star Rail – it’s certainly its own thing though! Characters sport more casual outfits that are reminiscent of the fashion we may see in real life.
While Zenless Zone Zero may not be for everyone, it’s clear to see that HoYoverse are expert at making stylishly addictive games. They know how to create a beautiful world and interesting characters.

For a quirky MMO that nobody had heard of until The Game Awards 2022, Wayfinder has done something exceptional. The title from Austin developers Airship Syndicate and publisher Digital Extremes slipped into Early Access on 15 August. After a brief hiatus between beta tests and something of a social media storm, the colorful adventure set out to blow us all away. It then proceeded to break in spectacular fashion.
Publisher Electronic Arts and developer Codemasters have announced EA Sports WRC for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC (Steam, Epic Games Store, EA App). It will launch on November 3 for $49.99.
Nintendo has announced a Switch OLED Mario Red Edition console.
It’s been a pretty great gamescom for Warhammer. A full showing of Space Marine 2 finally charged into the fray, Darktide got a long-awaited console release date, and Rogue Trader showed off its retinue of fantastic companion characters. But perhaps the most interesting Warhammer showing at the convention was Realms of Ruin, the strategy game set in Games Workshop’s lesser-explored Age of Sigmar fantasy universe. After an hour of hands-on time with its single-player, I’ve found myself excited by the prospect of a game that finally continues and potentially advances the legacy of the great Dawn of War cinematic campaigns.
HoYoverse, the developer of Genshin Impact and Honkai: Star Rail, shared an update on its next game Zenless Zone Zero during Gamescom Opening Night Live – but there was no date or confirmation of consoles. The self-described urban action RPG showed off a bunch of characters and environmental art, including several arcade-style minigames you’ll presumably be able to play to pass the time.
We got a glimpse of Zenless Zone Zero during Gamescom Opening Night Live, but the trailer maybe wasn’t the best introduction to the title for those unfamiliar with the release. This gameplay showcase does a much better job of showing off the title, demonstrating its life-sim style lobby where you can play arcade games and manage a VHS store through to its character action combat.

When I saw Forza Motorsport at Summer of Gaming a couple of months ago, I came away a little disappointed. Forza’s pedigree of having some of the most gorgeous visuals of any racing game is well known, and while the latest iteration of Motorsport undoubtedly looked good, it lacked polish at the time. So as a long-time Forza fan I’m pleased to say that Turn 10 has done a lot of work and after a behind-closed-doors demo at gamescom showing the game on the Xbox Series X, I walked away happy. Forza is definitely on track.
There’s a moment in RoboCop: Rogue City where the future of law enforcement gets to show a little of the man behind the mask. He corners a reporter he’s been tracking, who reveals she has intel that could indict OCP, the evil megacorp who made RoboCop in the first place. She broke into OCP HQ to get that info, so technically she broke the law. But she had to do it to get what she needed. So RoboCop has a choice to make: he can detain her, an act that will ensure that the OCP-run cops will seize the evidence and destroy it, covering up the company’s crimes. Or he can show his human side and let the journalist go, allowing her to continue gathering evidence. It’s a tough call.
Well, the Gamescom 2023 Opening Night Live has been and gone – but there are tons of announcements yet to come. However, we’re here today to talk about none other than Zenless Zone Zero.
