Yuzu Nintendo Switch Emulator New Build Brings Visual Glitches Fixes, Performance Improvements in Select Games

It’s been a while since we saw Nintendo make a notable addition to Nintendo Switch Online’s N64 library of games, but that’ll be changing soon. The Japanese company has announced that the N64 dirt bike racing classic Excitebike 64 will be added to the Nintendo Switch Online library later this month, on August 30.

Developer The Game Kitchen and publisher Team17 have announced that Blasphemous 2 is out now on PC, PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch. The launch of the game is being celebrated with the release of a new trailer, which you can check out below.

Security software company Denuvo has announced that its protection tech is now available to Switch developers.

Nintendo Switch games usually make their way to PC pretty quickly, with Tears of the Kingdom even being emulated before its official launch. In response to this growing problem, Denuvo is offering its protection tech to Switch developers, allowing them to block games on PC emulators.

New Yuzu Nintendo Switch emulator builds that were released online in the past few days introduce performance and emulation improvements for select titles, such as Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom and Red Dead Redemption.

Jet Set Radio-inspired game Bomb Rush Cyberfunk is out now on PC and Nintendo Switch. Along with the game’s release, developer and publisher Team Reptile has also released a new trailer for the game, which you can check out below.

Red Dead Redemption is out now on the PS4 and Nintendo Switch and unsurprisingly, it is a barebones upgrade to the revered Western odyssey. During the initial announcement, Rockstar Games never revealed any technical specifications, simply calling it a ‘conversion' that didn't mention anything about visual improvements or support for 60fps. That seems to be the case, judging by the new press release — dropped launch day — which states that regardless of the platform, the game is locked to 30fps. The new bit of information, however, is that the port from Double Eleven Studios runs at 1080p resolution on the Nintendo Switch and PS4, going up to 4K resolution on the PS4 Pro and PS5 (playable via backward compatibility).

It’s a little ridiculous that, nearly seven years into the Nintendo Switch’s life, we’ve still not seen Rocksteady’s Batman: Arkham trilogy release for the platform. Better late than never though, because that will be changing soon. In June, WB Games announced that Batman: Arkham Trilogy would be coming to the Switch this Fall, and now, a specific release date has been announced.

Following rumors and a ratings board listing, id Software’s remaster of Quake 2 is now available for Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, PS5, PC and Nintendo Switch. Retailing for $9.99, it features the original game, The Reckoning and Ground Zero mission packs, Quake 2 64 and a new expansion pack, Call of the Machine. Rockstar Games finally unveiled its plans for Red Dead Redemption 1, following website updates and rumors that seemed to be leading to a remaster/remake reveal. It was neither of those, with the developer announcing a re-release for Nintendo Switch and PS4. Along with the base game and Undead Nightmare expansion, it includes bonus content from the Game of the Year Edition.
