Microsoft Gaming CEO Phil Spencer considered buying Nintendo at one point, a leaked 2020 email revealed. Multiple documents from Microsoft's trial with the US FTC were leaked Tuesday, with one showing a casual discussion about buying the Mario maker, where Spencer called it a “career moment” and implied that a collaboration would be a ‘good move' for either company. It's worth highlighting that this conversation happened in August 2020, before Microsoft acquired Bethesda's parent company ZeniMax Media for $7.5 billion (about Rs. 62,431 crore). The leaks also disclosed Bethesda's release schedule, alongside details for Microsoft's planned mid-generation console refresh.

As a longtime parry proponent, it does my heart good to see Nier and Devil May Cry-inspired open-world action game V.A Proxy taking the art of the parry to extremes once thought unachievable: literally parrying nuclear weapons.

We've been giving Final Fantasy 14's cosmetic store bigger and bigger passes as time's gone on. Sony has announced the latest lineup of games coming to their PS Plus Extra and Premium tiers in September. While not huge in terms of major recent titles, the lineup is not lacking quality – subscribers can look forward to the likes of NieR Replicant, Civilization VI, Planet Coaster, multiple Vanillaware titles (13 Sentinels, Odin Sphere, Dragon’s Crown) and no less than no less then five Star Ocean games.

Starfield has enjoyed a great deal of success, to no one’s surprise, becoming Bethesda’s biggest launch ever with over 6 million players. And, as many would have predicted, the sci-fi RPG’s release has also resulted in boosted sales for Xbox Series X/S.
