X-Men '97: Airbnb Offers Marvel Fans the Chance to Stay in the Iconic X-Mansion

The iconic mutant squad, the X-Men, is experiencing a triumphant resurgence courtesy of the animated hit revival, X-Men '97. As the series garners widespread acclaim, it's not just riding high on praise but also making significant splashes with unexpected treats, such as a phone number that connects fans directly to Jubilee and a unique offering from Airbnb.

At Airbnb's 2024 Summer Release event, the company unveiled an exhilarating array of its newest specialty «Icons» experiences, like the one-night-only Home Alone house stay, promising an unparalleled journey into the realms of beloved films. And to celebrate the success of X-Men '97, Airbnb has ingeniously transformed a mansion in New Castle, New York, into a cartoon-like replica of Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters, offering dedicated X-Men enthusiasts an unforgettable stay.

Airbnb’s X-Mansion experience, hosted by X-Men '97 star Jubilee, accommodates up to eight guests in four bedrooms with five beds and two baths. This immersive experience begins with Jubilee guiding guests through a student orientation video, inviting them to step into the Xavier Institute for Higher Learning as mutant trainees. Guests can engage in activities such as training in the Danger Room under professional stunt coordinators, participating in team briefings in the War Room, trying on a functional Cerebro helmet, concocting potions inBeast's lab (one of the strongest X-Men), recreating Wolverine's famous photograph meme, and receiving a diploma in Professor X's office. Each themed bedroom, including Jubilee's '90s-inspired room, Wolverine's Disney+ room, Beast's lab, and a recruits' dorm room, adds to the authenticity of the experience.

To recreate the X-Mansion vibe, Airbnb partnered with Microsoft to revamp vintage operating systems into functioning boomboxes. Each prop and room in the house was painstakingly hand-painted for hours to embody the 2D animated universe of X-Men '97, ensuring an authentic and immersive atmosphere for visitors. Despite initial doubts due to its uncanny 2D-3D hybrid, the latest Airbnb listing is fully operational and will welcome X-Men enthusiasts in June.
