World of Warcraft Adds Plunderstorm, a 60-Player Battle Royale Mode

Palworld has received a new update which adds the game’s first Raid Boss.

The “Pokemon with guns” phenomenon Palworld has dropped its latest update, and it’s a fairly beefy one. The big addition is Palworld’s first raid boss, Bellanoir, an intense battle you can adjust the difficulty on for some big rewards. Pocketpair have released a new Palworld update, Steam version v0.2.0.6, which introduces the monster-catching survival game's first Raid Boss, a gloating Gothy squid-lady by the name of Bellanoir. She'll be available to conjure by using slabs at new Summoning Altars. Be prepared for a tough fight, especially if you opt for the "extreme" version of the boss. Bellanoir can't be captured, but she does drop a Pal Egg on defeat.

The introduction of this battle royale mode via Patch 10.2.6 seems to have garnered an overall positive response from the community, prompting World of Warcraft's developers to take this progressive step forward.

Upcoming battle royale brawler Battle Crush is getting its second beta test, as revealed at the Future Games Show Spring Showcase, letting players check out the godly 30-player elimination action and other PVP modes.

Some hotfixes have applied some ability tuning to the Plunderstorm Battle Royale which includes a nerf to Fire Whirl. Edit #1: This article originally said players «move at 70% of normal movement speed». It has been updated to the correct text as «move 70% faster».

Once a game like has been around for two decades, it is good to shake things up a bit with creative new experiences for players to engage in, such as the limited-time event that is happening now. This event allows everyone with a subscription to either or to enter a new 60-player battle royale experience. Taking on the role of an NPC in the world, having no class, skills, or abilities, players get to learn and level up in quick matches, trying their best to be the last one standing.

Pirates make everything better, so if Blizzard's announcement that World of Warcraft now has a standalone battle royale mode isn't enough to get your tootsies twitching with excitement, then how about this: it's called Plunderstorm and is all about the piratical booty.

Sabotage Studio has confirmed one of its Sea of Stars updates arriving in the future will introduce a new mode that lets three players play together in local co-op. This makes Garl playable in the overworld along with the other main character that you don't select to control. You can see the update in action in the short video above, which reveals how the party can now split up on-screen.

The World of Warcraft servers are officially live with Plunderstorm, bringing with it all the piratical rewards players can earn through the new game mode. By progressing through the Renown track, World of Warcraft fans can earn mounts, minions, titles, transmogs, and even Trader’s Tender.
