While rumors of a stand-alone Hulk have always been in the news, no update on its development has been confirmed by Marvel Studios in the 12 years since the character’s debut. Mark Ruffalo has also claimed that the movie is unlikely to be made, giving the lavish cost attached to the project as the reason.
In a February 2024 interview with GQ Magazine, Ruffalo shared, “I’d love to do a standalone Hulk, I just don’t think that’s ever going to happen. It’s very expensive if you did a whole movie, which is why they use the Hulk so sparingly. I priced myself out!”
Furthermore, Universal Pictures owns the rights to the character, giving them autonomy over the distribution of a solo Hulk movie. With Marvel Studios and Universal sharing a complicated relationship over the said rights, a Mark Ruffalo-led Hulk is highly improbable to ever receive the green light.
According to Ruffalo, the pricey CGI is why the Hulk is used so sparingly in other collaborative MCU movies. Consequently, it could take a fortune to produce a movie that centers around a graphic-dominated lead character.

TopSpin 2K25 is going to be launching on April 26th, 2K Games has confirmed. That is unless you buy the Deluxe or Grand Slam editions, which come with three days earlier access.
