Christmas is over, but the New Year awaits. First of all, we sincerely hope you had a happy holiday with your friends and family. And even if you didn't, we at least wish you found a little extra time to play some games. Now with the New Year upon us, there's an opportunity to conclude your festive gaming. Here's what we're playing.
I'm venturing off for a wedding and New Year celebration this weekend, and no, I won't be able to bring my PS5 with me. How sad! That means no gaming for me this weekend, so I'll return to PlayStation in 2024.
Well after my action-packed Christmas, I think I'm in the mood for some FPS this weekend. Between Shadow Warrior 3, Dusk, and Cultic, I've got plenty of options to pick from. I might just play a little of all of them, rather than pick!
Is there a better way to ring in a New Year than to revisit beloved gameplay experiences and sink further into the black hole of content contained therein? Total War: Warhammer 3 has been my constant guilty pleasure on PC since it was released, and there is always another Baldur's Gate 3 playthrough waiting in the wings. Happy New Year, everybody
Santa bought me Final Fantasy VII: Crisis Core, so I’ll be spending time with Sephiroth and some other guys, the way everyone should ring in their New Year.
Santa has been kind to me this year! For Christmas, I was gifted a few games, including Assassin's Creed Mirage, Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, and the Metal Gear Solid Master Collection Vol 1. I'll probably be diving into Metal Gear Solid first, as I've always wanted to experience the series as someone who has never touched a single entry.
It's my last chance to cross off some backlog games before the ridiculous early 2024 release schedule kicks in, but I've got no idea where to start. This probably means I'll just replay Cyberpunk 2077 or something equally stupid.
I'm rekindling fond memories of when I had to fly under three main bridges between the islands in one continuous glide for a Run Through the Jungle Trophy in Batman: Arkham Knight, by having a specific plan of only using my Web Wings to glide from the Financial District to Astoria for the Soar Trophy in Marvel's Spider-Man 2.
The big Honkai: Star Rail update just released, so you can bet I'll be keeping myself busy with that this weekend. I'm also in the mood for some racing games, so may finally boost start my playthrough of The Crew: Motorfest.
As the new year approaches, I think I'd like to spend the remainder of 2023 keeping things chill. That means some Escape Academy with my girlfriend, revisiting some old favourites like Ridge Racer 2, or maybe a bit of both. However you're seeing in the new year, I hope you enjoy it. Have a safe and happy 2024, everyone!
