Waven , Ankama Games’ deckbuilding RPG is embarking on Chapter 3, Albuera, the conclusion of the Lance Dur season. The new update lets you challenge Lance Dur himself, get a chance to play as the game’s newest hero, the Astramantis, and discover the new islands of Amakna and Albuera.
Ankama is marking a milestone of over 500,000 players in Early Access. This is it, if you’ve been playing through the season so far, you’ve faced down Cire Momore, Belladonna, and are now ready to take on the final chapter. This update is a big one to close out the year with. Not only does it add the final Lance Dur chapter and the boss himself, the update also adds the prologue to the main quest to play through. This prologue begins the main storyline and reveals some of the beginning of what that quest will be like.
There is a new hero, the Astramantis, debuting in this update as well, but you’ll need to have a Platinum Pass to play as one. This is a Iop class warrior who uses a lance (this is not a coincidence). In fact, according to the season description, «But they're also the subjects of Lance Dur, the aging sovereign of Albuera who's determined to pass his techniques on! ».
The update also adds two new islands, one being Amakna and the other being the aforementioned Albuera. Explore Amakna with its challenges, inhabitants to meet, and uncover some secrets during your adventures. Albuera, which gives the new chapter its title, is a new island and rumored to be the home of a particular count (one named Lance Dur). Both of these islands have their own features, with Albuera most suited to high-level players. Challenges here are designed for high-level combat for experienced players, so adventure around a bit if you need to gain more experience and make some progress before you are ready to explore this island.
There are a couple of quality of life updates in this patch as well, including the introduction of open chat.

The PC Master Race has been a meme for a good 15 years now, but it’s truer than ever in 2023. A top tier gaming PC might be horrendously expensive when stacked up against a PS5 or Xbox Series X|S, but these days it gives you the best of all worlds. Almost.

It’s not much later that Link meets a spirit version of Rauru, the first king of Hyrule and a character who belongs to a race of creatures called the Zonai. In lending Link his arm, Rauru gave the hero the means to go out into the wide world of Hyrule and realize the carefully laid plans of Princess Zelda.
