War Thunder’s big Kings of Battle update is on the way, and Gaijin Entertainment has begun revealing some of what’s to come, with a new teaser and details.
One of the additions will be the M109 self-propelled Howitzer from the American artillery. The M109 SPG has been in production since the '60s and participated in all US military ground operations to the present. They are still in service in dozens of countries and even in use in modern conflicts.
This vehicle be added to the ground vehicles lineup of several countries in tailored variations. Germany and Italy will get the m109g, which has smoke grenade launchers. Israel gets the basic m109. the USA and Britain get the m109a1, which has an extended barrel. All of these M109 variants come with a single projectile 155 mm high explosive shell that can blow away a lightly armored vehicle and even get heavier tanks in trouble with the right strategy. China will get its own alternate vehicle, the PLZ-83 SPG.
If you're looking to take to the skies for battle, the F- 111 tactical bomber and Japanese ground vehicles will be getting air cover from a new system,TAN-SAM-1C SAM. The F-111 bomber was The first mass-produced aircraft and entered service in the 1960s, later participating in the Vietnam War and Operation Desert storm.
Two battleships are also on the way, the HMS Iron Duke and IGN Yamashiro. both of these ships are also available for pre-order.
