If you've frequented YouTube, TikTok, Twitch or any other platform where a game has the capability to go viral, chances are you'll have seen Amanda the Adventurer. It was a smash hit on social media for a time, played by every YouTuber or Twitch streamer out there, with theories spreading about the game's lore and events like wildfire. It's pretty much another Five Night at Freddy's, but with less terrifyingly massive teddy bears.
Clearly inspired by the first game's success, developer MANGLEDmaw Games and publisher DreadXP have announced that a sequel is coming, aptly titled Amanda the Adventurer 2. While the first game had protagonist Riley Park watching mysterious videotapes in her attic, this title will see Riley travel to the Kensdale Public Library, in which a mysterious figure is waiting for her that tells her her dead Aunt Kate has left something for her hidden in the building. Spooky shenanigans follow.
You can see a little teaser trailer for Amanda the Adventurer 2 above, uploaded to publisher DredXP's YouTube channel, which reveals that the title will be dropping on PC at some point in 2024. Unfortunately, we don't have a specific release date for the game, but we did get a bunch of new information from the title's recently published Steam page.
If you're wondering what you'll get to do in Amanda the Adventurer 2, it's a lot like the first game, but with some interesting differences. For starters, Kensdale Public Library is obviously much bigger than a standard house, so you'll be able to explore a little more and sniff out even more secrets. Just like the first title, you'll get to play around with some interactive cartoons, talk to Amanda (who is now fully aware of Riley's presence), and make a much bigger mark on her world than you were previously able to.
On top of that, a new interaction called "Get Up!" has been added, which will task players with finding something that Amanda asks for. You can completely ignore her if you want to, but if you want to risk annoying the creepy TV girl, then be prepared to suffer the consequences.
If that all sounds like your cup of tea, then you'll be pleased to know that you'll be able to try out Amanda the Adventurer 2 next month, as a demo will be made available as part of Steam Next Fest, which starts on June 10 and runs for a week up until June 17. During that time, you'll be able to check out the game, scare yourself silly, and prep yourself for the game's full launch later this year.

An ominous conversation on the first day of marriage left one player feeling very concerned. Characters in have been known to be quirky and odd, but many fans appreciate this and can find a few characters they can relate to in the town. These personalities have been solidified even more with the additional scenes and dialog that were recently added. Some dialog options that appeared in-game have been strange, but ever since the 1.6 update was released, new and even more bizarre conversations keep popping up, much like the one this player encountered.
As I have now casually mentioned in about 400 news posts, I'm moving flat soon. During the quest for a new flat - a quest I would slot somewhere between return to Ravenholm in Half-Life 2 and the Shalebridge Cradle in Thief: Deadly Shadows in terms of overall hopefulness and unpleasant surprises - I toyed briefly with the idea of living in a mobile home.

The newly-released survival-horror game Crow Country, available for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X, is getting great reviews from critics. Crow Country is a throwback to classic PlayStation 1 survival-horror games. Many indie titles have attempted to replicate old-school Resident Evil and Silent Hill survival-horror with mixed results, but Crow Country is certainly one of the best to take a crack at it to date.
