Every run in Vampire Survivors comes to an abrupt end. No matter how powerful you may think you are, the Red Death is more than a match for you. You might think this foe is unkillable – an enemy designed to be insurmountable. You would be wrong, and defeating death itself is well within reach.

Time is always ticking in Vampire Survivors. Each stage you play through comes with a set time limit, and once that time is up, you are meeting the Red Death. With this in mind, controlling some aspect of time can be quite powerful, and this is where Clock Lancet comes into play. 

Vampire Survivors is jam-packed with weapons, and most of those weapons can evolve into more powerful variants. Others still can fuse to become legendarily powerful items that can warp entire runs. Evolving weapons in Vampire Survivors is much easier said than done in some cases, however. 

Vampire Survivors has seen a steady stream of updates since its launch, including multiple DLC packs that have expanded the game beyond its original (hefty) form. It’s a game that came out swinging in 2021 and hasn’t stopped throwing haymakers since, and we can’t get enough of its ‘reverse bullet hell’ formula.

Vampire Survivors was the unexpected break-out hit of 2021/2022. Its ludicrously accessible formula combined with its dopamine-riddled loop captivated everyone, and heck, it’s still going strong. With the latest update to the game now live, local co-op is now available for everyone, and it’s glorious. 

Vampire Survivors was one of the biggest surprises of the last few years. Coming out of nowhere and forging a genre all of its own, Poncle achieved something few other studios have – an instant, accessible, and fun experience. Whilst once bound to PC, it has finally arrived on Switch. 

Countless rivals have stepped up to challenge Vampire Survivors in the bullet heaven roguelite arena - Vtuber cats, Nic Cage’s Renfield, Deep Rock Galactic: Survivor - but the recently-released Whisker Squadron: Survivor is probably the most unexpected challenger yet. That’s because it’s brave enough to ask the mind-expanding question: what if Star Fox was a Vampire Survivors-like?

The oddly named version of the captivating roguelite offers a wealth of new content for free for existing players.

As if a couch co-op mode and a Switch release somehow wasn't enough new Vampire Survivors stuff to be getting on with, developer Poncle has teased plenty more is still to come, confirming everything seen in a recent «Directer's Cut» (yes, «e») leak is real and on the way.

I don't know anything about VTubers, aside from the fact they're virtual… YouTubers...? What I do know, is there's a Vampire Survivors-like called HoloCure: Save The Fans that's entirely fan made, entirely free, and revolves around Hololive, a VTuber agency replete with catgirls. I am taken aback by how good it is.

The engrossing indie roguelike Vampire Survivors has received a major new update on Steam which adds four-player couch co-op to the game, allowing you to experience the chaos of fighting waves upon waves of night creatures alongside your friends.

We knew it was coming, and now Vampire Survivors' four-player couch co-op mode is live on PC and Xbox, and Nintendo Switch as of this week, too.
