Valheim update changes enemy scaling and fixes various issues

Fresh off its long-awaited console release last week, Humankind is getting a new DLC and a major new update for the PC version on September 11th. 

Has there ever been a game like No Man’s Sky? It was dead on arrival when it launched seven years ago, but developer Hello Games has methodically updated the title, adding new features, steadily increasing its popularity and eventually surpassing the lofty expectations for the game’s original release. To that end, there’s already been three fairly beefy updates this year alone, but get ready for a fourth. The developer just dropped No Man’s Sky: Echos to commemorate the seventh anniversary of everyone’s favorite space sim.

Valheim update Hildir’s Request has arrived on live servers. If you’ve been waiting for the big overhaul to move to the game proper, it’s now time to jump on and find Hildir in Valheim. The sister to Haldor, Hildir the merchant follows in his profession – but has run into troubles with missing stock in the Viking co-op survival game. The update also includes the introduction of difficulty modifiers, and developer Iron Gate is running a Valheim contest titled the Trial of Tyr for the toughest hardcore players to prove themselves.

A few undocumented changes (or bugs) occurred to dungeons and raids on the Weekly Reset that may be important for groups to know.

The Wayfinder team continued to work on stabilizing the servers and increasing capacity over the weekend.  In a series of updates through the weekend, they continued to inform on plans and progress on the various Early Access launch issues.

Baldur’s Gate 3 is the best RPG game I’ve ever had the pleasure of playing, hands down. Larian Studios poured its heart and soul into the new Dungeons & Dragons game, creating a massive world with a ridiculous amount of player choice. If you’ve been loving Baldur’s Gate 3 as much as I have, then you’ve also likely been awaiting any news on updates. The DnD game just received its fourth post-launch patch today, and it’s a hotfix bringing combat changes and bug fixes.

Valheim has stood the test of time as a fun survival game to always go back to, with a unique Viking setting and whimsical yet punishing gameplay. Iron Gate Studio continues to regularly update the game, making changes to its public test branch before implementing them in the full-release version of Valheim so as to see what players think about them. The latest public test update has just dropped, bringing the branch to 0.217.13, and it comes with bug fixes and an especially useful new feature.

Larian Studios confirms that the first major Baldur's Gate 3 update will feature 1,000 fixes and tweaks.

Dark and Darker had one of the most surprising launches of any RPG game yet this year, as Ironmace seemingly released it out of the blue. Now that the wait for Dark and Darker has come to an end, many players have shifted their focus to the developer and its regular updates. Ironmace has been hard at work to patch the game, now releasing its third hotfix update. The latest hotfix features some fun class changes, especially for spellcasters, and also resolves multiple gameplay issues.
