The ongoing saga between Twitch and Kaitlyn Siragusa, better known as Amouranth, continues as the Amazon-owned streaming platform has issued yet another ban against the popular content creator. This latest suspension, occurring within three days of her previous ban, marks the tenth time the streaming personality Amouranth has faced disciplinary action from Twitch.
For those unfamiliar with the name, Amouranth is one of the top Twitch streamers with a massive following of over 6.30 million on the platform. Despite her immense popularity, she frequently finds herself in the crosshairs of Twitch's enforcement measures. The platform is known for its strict enforcement of policies and doesn't hesitate to take action against violators of community guidelines, regardless of their popularity. Amouranth's previous ban occurred on March 30, likely due to Twitch's newly introduced policies prohibiting the type of content she is known for.
Although Amouranth's prior ban was short-lived at three hours, she encountered another ban on April 3. Upon visiting her Twitch channel, viewers are greeted with a message stating that the channel is temporarily unavailable due to a «violation of Twitch's Community Guidelines or Terms of Service.» While the specific reason for the ban remains undisclosed, streaming star Amouranth responded to the situation on her Twitter account with a perplexed "???" indicating her own confusion regarding the ban.
While the duration of this ban remains uncertain, this marks Amouranth's tenth overall ban, with her longest suspension lasting only three days. Given her history of relatively short suspensions, there is a possibility that she may be reinstated soon, nothing is certain. Additionally, even if her ban does extend, her supporters need not worry. Amouranth has already established an alternative presence on Kick.com, a rival streaming platform to Twitch. Last June, she inked a deal with Kick, a platform known for its more lenient ban policies compared to Twitch, along with offering higher payouts.
Furthermore, it appears that even a permanent ban from Twitch would not significantly impact Amouranth financially. In addition to her streaming career, she is renowned for her entrepreneurial acumen. Apart from owning gas stations, she has made substantial investments in various companies, including tech giants like Amazon and Google, as well as a company specializing in plastic balls, among others. Recently, Amouranth teased a forthcoming business collaboration with YouTuber and Prime co-founder KSI. While details about their upcoming ventures remain scarce, she hinted at «a plethora of exciting opportunities ahead» with the KSI collaboration.

While Xbox Game Pass is set to gain a selection of fantastic Day-One releases in the back half of April, subscribers may want to act fast to play the six games leaving the service in the coming weeks. To offset the amount of titles the platform offers, Microsoft always removes a handful of games whenever it brings in a new selection for players to experience. While that might sound like a bad deal, it makes sense given the already massive catalog on offer and users can still pick up the departing games for a discount before they eventually leave.
The CEO of Twitch, Dan Clancy, has acknowledged the pressing need for improvement in the platform's ban feedback system. The CEO highlighted the importance of providing more comprehensive feedback to users facing Twitch bans, addressing longstanding concerns regarding transparency and communication.
