Fans of the Star Wars universe have been discussing their favorite theories that turn ordinary scenes into something truly magical. This franchise has already captivated countless viewers as it is, but it turns out that things can get even more emotional if one looks at them from a certain point of view.
Star Wars is a series of stories that, by and large, stands up on its own. From more light-hearted fare like Solo: A Star Wars Story to genuine masterpieces like The Empire Strikes Back, The Last Jedi, and Andor, this eminent science-fantasy franchise never fails to pull out the big guns. But with any long-running institution there comes plenty of depth to delve through, and that's what fans have been doing here. Star Wars fan theories are nothing new, but these ones are special.
Users in the Star Wars subreddit recently held a discussion on what theories and headcanons they hold that make certain scenes really pop. The idea is that, in many cases, scenes from older movies take on new meaning when developments from newer materials retroactively come into play. That's not the only way a theory can come around, but it's a big catalyst. That's why one commenter, for example, pointed out how Obi-Wan's smile just before his death in A New Hope can now feel almost triumphant since he's seeing Luke and Leia finally reunited. But that's not the only one.
«Obi-Wan's smile at seeing Luke and Leia together again at last in ANH, right before his sacrifice.»
Another reply brought up the initial reveal of Luke Skywalker's new lightsaber in Return of the Jedi. At the time, it just looked like a cool new design with a different color from his previous saber. But this particular user pointed out a theory that Luke actually used Qui-Gon Jinn's lightsaber crystal and Obi-Wan's specs, which would explain why it looks so similar to Obi-Wan's hilt while just so happening to have a green blade like Qui-Gon's. 2 generations of Jedi represented in one new design. It's like poetry; it rhymes.
«Luke used Qui-Gon's Crystal and Obi-Wan's specifications to construct his lightsaber. Makes each's connection with Anakin much more significant.»
Another one that brings a little humor into the mix is the idea that Anakin's line «General Grievous, you're shorter than I expected» from Revenge of the Sith was inspired by Anakin's apprentice Ahsoka Tano. During the Clone Wars, Ahsoka encountered the hulking half-droid Grievous well before Anakin did. The thing is, she was also much shorter than Anakin at that point, being in her early teens. So, rather hilariously, it actually makes sense that she would rant to Anakin about this huge enemy she faced, only for him to be a bit underwhelmed when he finally saw the big guy for himself.

One Starfield modder has blended Bethesda's space-faring RPG with another mega-popular sci-fi franchise, Star Wars, by adding Greedo to the game as a companion. Since its September launch, Starfield has seen a large community of modders creating an array of interesting and useful mods. Some of these mods aim to improve some of Starfield's shortcomings, like adding ammo crafting and a planet resource database. Others add cool crossovers to the game, such as Halo's Master Chief armor or a variety of aliens from the Star Wars universe.
A wealth of new information about Star Wars Outlawshas been revealed, including the game’s pre-order bonuses and how fans can jump into the adventure a few days early. Ubisoft Massive's open world action-adventure Star Wars Outlaws will release on 30th August 2024, according to a new story trailer which introduces us properly to "emerging scoundrel" Kay Vess, aka Hannah Solo. If you haven't had the pleasure, Kay is a budding crook on the run from her underworld boss, a journey that sees her tangling with several other Star Wars crime syndicates on various planets. It really feels like they're keeping a lot of the headline Star Wars stuff at a respectful distance for this one: yes, Jabba the Hutt makes an appearance, but there's nary a whiff of The Force, Jedi or Sith in the trailer and not once does anybody build a Death Star.
With the upcoming release of , the franchise's video games are finally returning to an important era last visited in this medium almost 30 years ago. Kay Vess' story takes place between and, somewhere between 3 ABY and 4 ABY.
The Empire doesn't want anyone to know about this one simple trick. Imperial scientists hate it. But the question remains: can a lightsaber theoretically deflect the planet-killing superlaser fired from the Death Star?
What are legends if not memes plus time? Several Star Wars fans were recently shocked to discover that a number of running gags among the series fandom have crossed the threshold into a bizarre sort of canon. Apparently, they've been around long enough to bleed into the franchise itself.
A fresh Fortnite leak has revealed that another Star Wars event will soon be coming to the game. While further info on the latest crossover with the legendary sci-fi media juggernaut remains scant, a reputable Fortnite leaker has confirmed that the event will include at least one new cosmetic.
