Grand Theft Auto 5 has enjoyed a long-lasting life on multiple platforms since its release in 2013. Fuelled by the popularity of GTA Online, GTA 5 continues to attract players on PlayStation and Xbox consoles and PC. Ahead of the launch of Grand Theft Auto 6 next year, however, GTA 5 could be available to more players on mobile and Nintendo Switch platforms, but not officially. Third party developers are reportedly working on Android, Linux and Nintendo Switch ports of the game.

The developer of cozy Lord of the Rings game, Tales of the Shire, has shared another glimpse into the upcoming game and promised a "trailer coming soon."

In September last year, developer Weta Workshop and publisher Private Division announced Tales of the Shire: A Lord of the Rings Game, describing it as a “heartwarming” game that will see players experiencing “a cozy Hobbit life”. Details on the title beyond those initial tidbits have been scant, but that will soon be changing with a new trailer.

That’s according to Kotaku, who were told by an anonymous source that studio heads are “worried” that the game could miss 2025 completely and not see release until 2026. Kotaku were told that the studio is still “aiming” for a Spring 2025 release date, but sources feel Fall of the same year is more plausible. However, the title could be delayed until 2026 as a “fallback plan.”
