The Street Fighter Series Punches into Puzzle & Dragons

In a surprise trailer dropped by the Street Fighter X (formerly Twitter) account, a crossover between Street Fighter 6 and Spy x Family Code: White is coming on January 9, 2024. The event serves as a promotion for the upcoming Spy x Family film, which will be released in Japanese theaters on December 22, 2023.

Perhaps the Last Of Us TV show on HBO getting it right was the dawn of a new era of good TV based on video games, but I still approach each adaptation with trepidation. That includes Amazon's Fallout series from Westworld and Person Of Interest writer/director Jonathan Nolan, which just got its first trailer.

Street Fighter 6 rocks. And I'm not just saying that because my character throws tiny rocks at people (sandblast all day, every day). It's one of the best games that came out this year, all of us who reviewed it had fun, and the series, itself, continues to enjoy a great place in the competitive fighting game scene.

A big batch of new costumes just dropped for Street Fighter 6, with 18 fresh looks for the main roster coming as part of Capcom’s new “Outfit 3” DLC. Many of them are great, including Marisa’s new wedding dress, the return of Blanka-chan, and Juri in onesie pajamas. What’s not so great is how Capcom is selling them, and players are annoyed at the publisher’s handling of premium currency purchases.

While Street Fighter 6 is a hit with fans of Capcom’s famous fighting game series, its monetisation has caused an uproar. The latest offender is the hotly anticipated Outfit 3 release, which gives each of the 18 launch characters an eye-catching new costume to wear.

Street Fighter 6's third outfits for each character are finally here and look amazing, but the high price tag attached to them has angered a lot of fans who had been patiently waiting for new costumes.

Street Fighter 6’s base roster finally gets some new threads, with Outfit 3 available. A new trailer highlights the different looks, from a movie star-style outfit for Ken to Blanka in a Blanka-Chan outfit. Check them out below, though beware that they’ll set you back by 5400 Fighter Coins or $100.

Capcom has released Outfit 3 for Street Fighter 6’s base roster, which includes a shinobi outfit for Kimberly, pyjamas for Juri, a Blanka-chan suit for Blanka and even Luke’s original look from Street Fighter 5. The Puzzle & Dragons x Chainsaw Man collab kicks off today across the JP servers. As usual, all the best collaborations are Japan exclusives given this game isn’t even Global yet. This event is crammed with CSM references and all-new illustrations of the familiar faces from the hit series.
