The best Black Friday 2023 deals

Cyber Monday is here for another round of deals as we close out the Black Friday weekend. Our post is full of all the great deals you can get at various retailers (including the Polygon merch store), along with some new discounts worth checking out. Whether you’re still shopping for toys, board games, or gaming accessories, you’re sure to find something in our roundup of the best Cyber Monday deals.

RTX 4080 gaming laptops entered the marketplace at around the $2,399.99 mark, reaching all the way up to $2,699.99 on some occasions. Eluktronics’ Prometheus XVI G2 was not easy on the wallet either, reaching an eye-watering price of $2,499.99 on Amazon. Fortunately, these Black Friday 2023 deals are a godsend because now, the exact same machine with its dedicated external liquid cooler is available for $1,949.99. Granted, that is still a decent chunk of change, but compared to what these models were available for before, we have to say that these are insanely attractive offers.

Black Friday itself may be beginning to fade into the distance to be replaced by the wonders of Cyber Monday, but we're still finding plenty of deals that look like they're going to stick around a little while longer. This year we've seen plenty of great Black Friday OLED monitor and TV deals, and for those of you that weren't quite sure whether to pull the trigger on the big day the good news is they seem to be hanging on for a bit longer than they might have done in previous years.

You won’t find Baldur’s Gate 3 on sale this Black Friday. And yet, we believe it’s still one of the best video game deals this holiday season. Across the Polygon team, we’ve collectively put hundreds — if not thousands — of hours into the CRPG. Considering the current bleak forecast for big video game releases in 2024, we expect to invest a few thousand more.

As Black Friday 2023 rages on and the pandemic and supply-chain induced price spike for all things PC related all but fades from memory, I can't help but notice some good deals on gaming monitors. Some very good deals, indeed.

Money is tight, but maybe not so tight that you don't want to treat yourself to a new toy. Because, let's face it, that's what gaming laptops are: toys. You can pretend to yourself, your partner, or your accountant that you really need a discrete graphics card for your 'work', but let's be honest, you want a laptop that can play games.
