Switch worldwide sales top 132.46 million, Pikmin 4 tops 2.61 million

Here's my best pick of the Nintendo switch accessories for Black Friday 2023 under $25. You know, it's been a great year for the system thanks to awesome new games like Super Mario Bros. Wonder, Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, Pikmin 4, and so many more. That means it's likely that there's plenty of new Switch owners out there right now looking for some great quality accessories that won't rupture a hole in your bank balance. 

Hogwarts Legacy was one of the more popular games with fans this year. Fans waited a good while for Avalanche Software to turn this game out into the marketplace. However, the initial launch was not what fans had hoped for. Rather than being available across all the supported platforms simultaneously, it was pushed back into three different waves. We saw the game’s first wave land into the marketplace for the PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S platforms. Meanwhile, several months later, the game managed to be released on the last generation’s Xbox One and PlayStation 4 platforms. Then, this month, we saw Hogwarts Legacy land on the Nintendo Switch console. 

The Hori Split Pad Pro is pretty much permanently fixed to my Nintendo Switch OLED these days, and with Best Buy dropping a $10 discount on the ergonomically minded Joy-Con alternative it's an absolute steal this week.

The Gfk has released (via GamesIndustry) the latest weekly physical sales data for the United Kingdom, as per which Hogwarts Legacy was the best-selling game in the region last week, thanks to a combination of the launch of its Nintendo Switch version and Black Friday discounts. In fact, as per GamesIndustry’s Christopher Dring, the open world RPG has enjoyed the 2023’s third-biggest physical launch for a Switch title in the UK, behind only The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom and Super Mario Bros. Wonder.
