Suda51 and Swery unveil first look at its time looping horror game Hotel Barcelona

PlayStation 5 cloud streaming for PlayStation Plus Premium subscribers will launch on October 17 in Japan, October 23 in Europe, and October 30 in North America, allowing users to play PlayStation 5 games without having to download them, Sony Interactive Entertainment announced.

Versus Evil has announced that Jukai Studio’s horror game Stray Souls will release on October 25, 2023. It is coming to PC, PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox One platforms.

Resident Evil creator and RE4 director Shinji Mikami teams up with Goichi ‘Suda 51’ Suda, the man behind Let It Die and Lollipop Chainsaw, for a slick, psychedelic, and terrifying Capcom horror game about invisible monsters and two gods fighting for control of reality. It’s an excellent pitch, but somehow, in the history of the greatest games ever made, Killer7 is often forgotten. Originally released in 2005, if you haven’t played it yet, or need an excuse to go through it again, you can get Killer7 right now for just under $5, and even play it on Valve’s superlative handheld the Steam Deck.

The Creator doesn’t look like anything else out in theaters right now. While it obviously expands on visual precedents from films like Apocalypse Now, Blade Runner, and Akira, the latest sci-fi action movie from Rogue One director Gareth Edwards feels equally indebted to the mood and spirit of our contemporary reality, thanks in no small part to Edwards’ decision to film on site across eight different countries, including Nepal, Cambodia, and Thailand.

Fortnite is to increase the price of its in-game currency V-Bucks in a number of countries, including the US and across Europe. While publisher Epic Games attributed the decision to economic factors - citing previous “pricing alignment” in countries including the UK over the summer - the move will follow hundreds of job losses at the company, partially as the result of lower than expected revenue for their immensely popular battle royale shooter.

Delightful destructive heist sim Teardown is getting four paid DLCs, with the first to be released on November 15th. It's called Time Campers and will transport players back in time with a caravan to tackle new heists with "old-timey tools and architecture" in the Wild West.

Two legendary game designers, Swery65 (Deadly Premonition) and Suda51 (No More Heroes), are collaborating on a new game, titled Hotel Barcelona. We've just been treated to our first look at what the game looks like, and it's a side-scrolling action game with a tongue-in-cheek vibe and, of course, plenty of bloodshed.

“Growing Light”, Final Fantasy XIV ’s next big update, is right around the corner. Releasing on October 3rd, Producer and Director Naoki Yoshida previewed the patch in a special Letter from the Producer broadcast from Tokyo Game Show.
