An update reveals that there are post-launch plans for Stellar-Blade in the form of additional costumes. Stellar Blade has made waves in the gaming community as a third-person action-adventure game with impressive graphics. This game appears to have potential, and Sony seems to have vouched on the matter, partnering with developer Shift Up and publishing under Sony Interactive Entertainment. Stellar Blade is expected to be released on April 24.
Initially titled Project Eve, the game was first unveiled in 2019, targeting a release on the PlayStation 4 with fast-paced swordplay that evokes Nier: Automata as well as the Horizon series, especially in the visuals and premise. Players will take the role of Eve, a protector of humanity determined to fight off the alien invader Naytiba in an effort to restore Earth's safety and secure a future for the human race.
In a report from Game Informer, director Hyung-Tae Kim reveals that there will be additional outfits included post-release for Stellar Blade. This might be exciting news for anyone who has been looking forward to the game's April release. The aesthetics and visual design of this game are notably important to Developer Shift Up, who are intent on delivering a compelling third-person action combat experience. In previous trailers, Eve's costumes have been given a consistent focus, and finding more ways to have players fight in style could lead to exciting possibilities with regard to player expression. In addition, Stellar Blade will be released with 30 costumes.
There has been plenty of talk about the way the characters in Stellar Blade look, especially Eve. Some are concerned that Eve's design leans too far in a step that emphasizes objectification. Some disagree, and some either don't care or are waiting until the game releases to form a full opinion on the matter. What can be said is that there seems to have been more talk about this aspect than what may keep players coming back long after anything else: the gameplay.
The action looks high-octane, and Stellar Blade resembles Bayonettaand is largely inspired by Nier: Automata. In addition, Stellar Blade appears to meld that inspiration with more modern elements of design, where trailers show many sprawling environments and items in the background that can be interacted with during combat, like flame barrels. There appears to be a blocking system that emphasizes and rewards parries, and several forms of projectile-based weapons. The particle effects and special combat moves are flashy and vibrant.
There is no current answer on whether the quests will be as engaging or gameplay loop as satisfying to repeatedly sink back into as games like Nier: Automata and Ghost of Tsushima, but with more information,
