Starfield Previews Massive January Update With Over 100 Fixes

Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth received widespread critical acclaim from critics in the lead-up to its release, becoming the highest-rated game in the series to date, and it seems that’s being reflected in how the game is performing. Having launched earlier today, the game has got off to a solid start, if its Steam numbers are any indication.

Palworld has now eclipsed Counter-Strike 2's all-time concurrent player record to take the number two spot on Steam's list of most concurrent players ever.

Epic Games has removed and banned over 100 Creative mode maps that featured serious content violations. Fortnite is most known for its Battle Royale game mode. Initially, Epic Games intended to make Save the World the main Fortnite mode, but as Battle Royale grew in popularity, the company decided to put the PvE campaign on the back burner and shift its focus completely. As time went by, the Playground game mode was released, which allowed players to freely explore the Battle Royale island and set their own matches with friends.

Preparing for the release of Diablo 4‘s third season, titled Season of the Construct, developer Blizzard has released a new update for the game. Numbered at 1.3.0, the update brings with it a host of changes, ranging from new Legendary Aspects, to changes to how some class abilities might work.

Oh, Starfield. We all had such hope for you. You’re not a bad game, of course, but there was definitely some lost potential there. Still, you won a Steam award which is nice, and you’re kicking off the new year with the game’s first major update.

Blizzard has posted hotfixes for today which includes class and Mythic+ hotfixes.

Starfield update 1.9.47 is now available to download for select players. Originally announced last week, this much-anticipated release is described as Starfield's biggest update to date.

Today, NVIDIA released a new Game Ready driver (version 546.65) for its GeForce graphics cards. Its main purpose is to provide support for the newly released RTX 4070 SUPER GPU, but it is also optimized for the imminent release of Palworld. The 'Pokémon with guns' open world monster collection game is due to launch this Friday on Steam Early Access, and it will feature support for NVIDIA DLSS 2 (Super Resolution).

Tower of Fantasy is heading to new terrain in the next major update, “Beyond Horizons”, launching v 3.6 on January 30th. There’s an all-new map, Aquaville, a new main story, “Impending Storm”, new quests, and a looming battle with the Hive Mother. A new world may just be on the horizon after all.

Though it’s not everyone’s cup of tea, Starfield certainly has made a name for itself among gaming audiences. The developer, Bethesda, is thankfully not dropping its post-launch updates anytime soon. The game’s latest update is about to get a beta very, very soon, in fact.

The biggest update for Bethesda Game Studios’ Starfield will be entering the Steam beta branch on January 17th and promises over 100 fixes and improvements. It’s planned to go live for all players on January 31st, but what can you expect?
